I haven't continued diet coke (I love it) but I believe that Mark has. I'm sure he'll coment soon. But from what I remember he said that he'd drunk diet coke on a regular basis and it didn't arrect his weight loss.

But others on this forum have said that diet coke shouldn't be drunk because it contains citric acid.

the zero one is said to be lot better....But I know I adore pop, and one glass a day would not quench the desire drinking some would set off....so I am staying away from it :)

Hi Emz, I drink Caffeine free diet coke, it has zero everything but does have citric acid. It has not affected me at all, I am in ketosis and have been for close on 3 weeks now, I have lost 32lbs in 22 days. I also believe that Coke Zero is OK as that does not have citric acid, citric acid supposedly is not good for Ketosis but it is trace amounts so I do not know what the issue is.

Anyway, try them out, you will find that it works or does not work. Your weight loss is not going to suffer for it at all, the diet coke and coke zero have no calories, no fat, no carbs. Checks the contents of each bottle/can and make your own mind up.

Do you think men have a higher threshold than women to stay in ketosis? Or, is it just individuals do you think?

I think it's individual. I definitely hover right on the edge of it. I allow myself 1 green and lemon tea and 1 Earl Grey per day so wouldn't dare add anything else.
