Yep I've tried it, I bought it in one of those 'just add water' packs. It was pleasant enough, more of a bland taste, it's what you add to it which makes it.

From what I remember it is quiet expensive, thats why I bought a 'made up' pack as it worked out cheaper.

I've never bought is since as I didn't think the taste warranted the cost.

I feel pretty much the same about it as HappyHolidays - it's nice, but not worth the cost.

It's comparable, I think, to bulghur wheat and couscous, so you can use it in place of either of those.

I make it into cold salads similar to bulgar wheat or couscous. I agree the taste is pretty bland but I like the slight crunchiness and the high protein content. And red quinoa is quite pretty. :)

Just make sure you wash it well unless the box says you don't need to, as it has a natural bitter coating. And if you have a rice cooker it will cook really nicely!
