Ralph Lauren in 'second airbrush model row'

Ralph Lauren has become embroiled in a row over a picture apparently airbrushed to make a model look skinnier for the second time in a week.

Why do this, she looks too skinny in the right hand original photo anyway.

The retouched photo looks ridiculous, they've made her body all out of proportion! The original, like you say, still shows an extremely thin woman, they had no need to retouch in the first place.

I bad artist did that air-brush. The lady ended up being completely out of proportion to her original frame - no one actually has hips that narrow surely? She is very skinny, but as a model you "have" to be to make it in the industry. And some people are naturally thin as well.

Are they proposing that we should be shaving our skeleton to make it more narrow? Isn't airbrushing "fat" away on models enough? I think there'll be a point when they'll put some clothes and make-up on a broomstick and still air-brush that to make sure it's smooth and wafer thin enough!
