Day 730 Thursday 30th April 2020
Start weight - 223 lbs (15s 13 lbs)
Current weight - 159 lbs (11s 5 lbs)
Loss to date =64 lbs

2lbs off this week which I am happy with. 5 lbs to my target and 5 stone loss.
Today is my day off the plan but I haven't been too bad.
B/L - 2 sandwiches (cottage cheese & home made jam, banana, peanut butter). They kept me going until dinner. Dinner time I didn't feel that hungry but decided to eat as I don't want to eat late.
Had some cheese - why I don't know why - I put it down to boredom.
Lots to do around the house but I am not in the frame of mind doing them. Hopefully, I start on them tomorrow to keep busy & positive.
D - Beef curry, rice & coriander ( break from mint - haha).
That is me finished eating for today.
S - Blood orange, tbs seeds
Fluids - 3 black coconut coffee,2 Black tea, 2L water
Exercise - 3,200 steps, 20 km exercise bike. Rained most of the day & grass very wet in the park, so couldn't achieve my steps target.
I am bored & when I went for my walk bought some Rhubarb & made some more jam - it is going to last me a long time. The more weight I lose, the more I feel I need something sweet and I rather mix homemade jam with yogurt than shop bought stuff.

Day 722 Saturday 25th April 2020
After STS this week, I decided to change a few things with my eating plan and see how I get on. I am going to be eating between 14:00-19:00. Although I prepare each meal in whole, I take my time to eat over 2-3 hours to avoid overloading my tummy and bloating.

L - Beef curry, rice & salad (leaves, mint, pepper, cue, tom, beetroot)
D - Cheese & blood orange sandwich, bowl of fruits (apple, banana, strawberries, Clementine garnished with mint leaves)
S - Apple, strawberries, boiled sweet
Fluids - 3 Black tea, 2.5 L water
Exercise - 10,200 steps, 20 km exercise bike.
Since the lockdown I have been going for short walks, but as I live by an open space and everyone is observing the social distancing, I have decided to go for a walk of 10,000 or more per day as long as it is sunny. On rainy days I will increase exercise bike km.

Great bounce back strategy! I can't believe you've kept track of the number of days you've been on this journey! 723 today! Amazing, keep it up :D

Do you have a huge bush of mint?! I love it, all the mint you have. It's making me consider getting mint and potting it out. Your food looks super again today :)
There is a small herb garden in the grounds of my apartment block. I am one of the few who use the herbs. We have different varieties of mint, parsely and chives. I buy a big bunch of coriander (my favourite) from green grocer down the road.
Mint grows fast and the more you pick the more it grows. Also it is good for indigestion. I highly recommend investing in a plant.

Day 731 Friday 1st May 2020
Decided to re-introduce variety to my eating plan
B - Fruit salad (apple, banana, strawberries)
L - Bacon & egg on sun dried tomato toast, mushroom, baked beans, cherry tomatoes, tbs butter. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
D - Tuna salad ( spinach, coriander, tom, cue, pepper, beetroot, carrot, olives, drizzle of salad sauce)
S - Nectarine, potato snack, apple, strawberries
F - 3 black tea, 2 herbal tea
Exercise - 6,000 steps

Day 736 Wednesday 6th May 2020
This morning, I decided to put on a dress (12/14)which is bodycon. It was too tight a few weeks ago and now, it fits me perfectly (mind you it is stretchy - most of my clothes are made of stretchy material as they are light and don't need ironing. I went out to post a parcel and ended up walking around the streets that I never get a chance to see at normal time. Got a glimpse of myself in a shop window and could not believe that it was me.
L - Homemade Cornish pasty and salad. It didn't look good as my potato (pasty part) was too wet & collapsed - I need fluffy potato for this. But it tasted good.
S -Apple, pear, Banana/coffee dessert - yogurt mixed with coffee & tsp sugar and layered with banana & blueberries - delish, 5 mini eggs
F - 4 black tea, 2L water
Exercise - 14,000 steps, 10 km exercise bike

Oh yummy! I really want to grow things but I'm afraid I'm just not terribly (at all) green fingered! I'm trying to grow sprouts and tomatoes currently and half of the seedlings got eaten by slugs :(

Wooohoooo! OMG you must be so excited to hit goal. Is it everything you dreamed it would be, being so close?! I fantasise about that moment, the glory! :woohoo: :king2::winner::0clapper:

Mint is so easy to grow. You just leave it to grow and does not need any attention apart from picking the tips as often as possible so it can grow more. Just make sure you grow it in a pot (you can bury the pot in the ground) otherwise spreads and take over your garden - mint is a weed.

I love gardens but rubbish at gardening and growing plants & veg - last year I bought a courgette plant and the seller told me how to plant it and look after it but I could not do it and it died. However, the year before I bought a tomato plant and got more than 400 tomatoes and would have had more if I did not neglect it and let the plant lie on the ground (Summer 2018, I was eating tomatoes with almost every meal).

Las night I could not sleep as my target weight was on my mind and I could not understand why i can't get to it - I have been around my current weight for the past 5 months or so. This morning, I started going through my diary from the beginning and realised that I have decreased and variety of food and increased the physical activities. In a way I have been comfort eating due my mind being occupied by a few things and I think, stress has a lot to do with the way we eat and our body's reaction to it (hence keeping to the fat - for comfort?). Now I have decided to introduce more variety into my daily eating. Going shopping for my neighbour today so will pick up some new things for myself too.

In your diary, you mention being disappointed with your losses so far. You have done really well and should be proud. If you read my diary you can see that it took me from April - August 2018 to reach 1 stone. After that it got easier as I could see a positive result - my losses have always been very slow but you can see how far I have come. I agree variety and revision of your eating plan will do you good but make sure you have all your syns - the reason being you are giving your body all the fuel it needs and allows it to work hard to burn the fat. Also when you hit a plateau then you can decrease your sysns and see the difference, otherwise there is nothing you can cut down on. Please be patient with yourself and soon you see the difference.
