It seems, I am getting my mojo back since I stopped stressing about the weight.

Today, I was on the step ladder changing a light bulb and got a glimpse of myself in the wardrobe mirror and could not believe how slim I look - I know most of the time, I don't see myself and still feel that I need to lose more weight but in actuality I look good these days. Yes I have lowered my target and the reason being, I feel better if I am lighter.

I am a bit confused about clothes size as I still see myself a bigger than I am - bought a couple of pairs of shorts in size 14 thinking that they would be too small. They arrived and they are loose on me. I am somewhere between 12 & 14 now. 12 a bit tight and 14 a bit loose - haha
I think it takes our mind a long time to catch up on the actual size we are. We have been in bigger sizes for a long time. Well I know I have lol. I am sure your brain will eventually catch up to your new slim size. Awkward when you are in between sizes too big for one and too small for the other.

Yes I am still doing this and managed to lose over 5 stone - did it slowly so my body gets used to it. I was a couple of pounds away from final goal but recently decided to lower my target yet again (for he 3rd time).

Good luck with starting your journey. Please let me know if you have questions and I do my best to answer them.

Isn't it so annoying being between sizes. That's the part of online shopping I don't like, that you don't get to try on a load of styles to see which one fits the best.

Welcome, I have couple of autoimmune conditions (namely sjogrens, multiple sclerosis, oral lichen planus so I know where you are coming from. I have lost weight before. But now I am menopausal and I find the weight does not come off so easily. Plus medication I am on two of them are known to gain weight on. I have just been through a plateau of going up and down the same pound thought i was a darn yoyo :rotflmao: but I did not do anything different but ate a portion of chips. But Ravenous said to me in their experience sometime just shaking it up once in a while can start you off again. This week for me a miracle happen lost 4lb. normally i lose if I am lucky 1lb per week. So not fast, but this is not a race and my diet is so much healthier than a year ago

sorry for hijacking your food diary Ravenous. You have come to the right place the people are supportive on minimum. The journey is so much easier with support. Whatever plan you are using to lose weight there is usually someone following the same programme. Exercise is tough when you have health issues. I do what I can and try not to compare myself to others who are doing above and beyond whatever I can hope achieve, I figure any exercise is better than no exercise.

No problem. Carry on.

As you said we are all here to support each other and it does not matter where on the platform we do it.
