hey guys,

i am at the beginning of week 5 and have been doing really well :) I haven't cheated as I know it will only make extra work for me to get back into it!

The thing is I have been really hungry over the last few days. I have craved every sodding food stuff (apart from lettuce) under the sun! I feel so tempted all the time and its doing my head in!

I suspect that because totm is coming anytime now that may be whats causing it.....but oh God its hard!

anyone else go through this?

I've just started week 5 and find that I am craving a lot more too. Any food in front of me is what I want. Don't know why it's happened now cos up to now it's not really been a problem. Hope it passes soon though.

do you think its a week 5 thing? I am sure last week someone was on week 5 and they were going through this too?

Its so bad i bought a recipe book and call it my pornography. Just looking at the pics and i can taste the food!

ye me too, im in week 3 so will let u know week after next!!!

i love looking at recipes too, and have been sniffing evrything like mad haha takes away cravings!!

lol bless u sweetie. im on my fourth week and found last week real hard. i just think we have come so far it will be silly to throw it all away. and just think how full and sick and uncomfortable you would feel if you did eat something! a minute on the lips a lifetime on the hips!hehe. you're strong though hun. you just need to take your mind off things. last week i was sniffing a jar of hot chocolate (yummy chocolate flake hot chocolate) for 30 mins. i felt like a glue sniffer!!lol but it did the trick!!!

I am a sniffer too! Its driving people mad! I find my sense of smell is heightened too! When i passes a tin of quality street to someone i could really smell the choc even though its all wrapped up!

haha my family all think iv lost it! i mell their tea an stuff before i take it in, and stuck my head in a tin of roses from christmas the other day!!

I thought I was the only mad sniffer, I sniff all food in sight, from cream cheese to roast beef. I love it and it helps me get past the cravings. Keep strong.

Are you also wanting to sniff food as well? I am and it does seem to help.

Not been bothered so much by food today as I'm at work but when I get home later that's when it will hit me again. Not going to give in though. I've come this far and am not going to give in now.

i would eat it if got close enough to sniff it..

My mum is boiling ham at the minute and it smells amazing.. and there a big pot of home made vegetable soup beside it too :( :(

But im not going to give in!!

Try to take your mind off of it. Watch a movie, read a book, or go for a walk.

Definitely drink some more water. Water is the friend of the LT'er and it can help deal with hunger.

On the other hand, if it's a psychological hunger, then you've got to focus on the positives and remind yourself of the negatives.

Speaking from experience, I remember telling myself "One of these won't hurt" and then it was a good 8 months before I even attempted to get back on the program...

"One" of those (whatever they are) will hurt. You've got to tell yourself that, and silence the little food demon in your head who's tempting you.

cheers - i refuse to be tempted. I want to be slim for summer, i have to admit the cravings are coming a very close 2nd!

i am better for the hunger today but i swear to God PMT and LT do NOT mix :mad: My boss even called me Miss Ratty today :eek: He did ask why....couldn't exactly say 'well i have PMT!' :p

:4633:It made me laugh about you guys being sniffers!! Of course I take it one step further. Just kissed my boyf and could taste beef and onion crisps.... I know I know minging!
I was kissing my OH coming to work one day, just as he was chewing roast beef - you can imagine the kiss lasted much longer than usual and I went back for seconds :eek:
