lol sorry just have to share, today was my little girls mad hatters tea party at school, i bought my ticket last week as i didnt want to let her down and not go and was thinking i may just eat a little as i didnt want to upset her etc, but this morning decided no i wont and she knows i cant eat, shes 6 by the way anywa along i went and sat with other parents while our kiddies served up juice, sandwiches, buns, biscuits and scones, i didnt touch a thing and my little girl didnt mind one bit as she got to eat it all yum yum, i did get some really funny looks from the parents who dont know about my diet, lucky her teacher did as i had to tell her...........

i was really worried it would upset leah my girl but she was chuffed with her grub and even bragged she got to eat mummy food

i just kept asking her for more water, and picked up a sarni when the pictures were taken and put in near my mouth while i posed, and she even said mummy remember you cant eat that..... bless....i told her i know i was just pretending

then after one of the parents who knows about the diet said to me you ate nothing, and i said i no, leah didnt mind,so she just sed awwwwww and looked at me like i was evil


so do you lot think it would have deep down upset her? and did i do the right thing?

You did the right thing you explained to your little girl what you were doing with this diet and she already knew you cannot eat anything and for you to eat would have been going back on your word to her so keep up the good work and all your kids will be so proud of their mummy

You were there for her and that is all that really matters, you explained that you can't eat right now and I'm sure that you didn't upset her by not eating.

I wouldn't worry about what the other parents may think. I think sometimes people can be a little jealous of the will power it takes to be on a programme like LT, especially as you are doing so well. Some people find it hard to be happy for others successes so try and drag them down. It wouldn't surprise me if the parent giving you the evil look only did it out of envy!

yeah being there is what mattered i know that, and yeah your prob right coz i didnt eat a bite they prob were this is also one of the people who tell me i will gain it all back too

Yeah I hate people like that, you are doing something really positive with your life, and rather than offer support they come out with really negative dribble like 'you will gain it back'.

Simple truth is that on ANY eating plan, if after you have lost weight and you then return to a unheathly lifestyle sure the pounds will more than likely come back. BUT LT isn't just about losing the weight, its about maintenance as well, and they also offer support with that.

The best thing to do is just not listen to negative people, life is too short. You are doing fantastic and thats all that matters

exactly love, whatever diet you do if you pig out after you will gain it back, its not abiut which diet you use to lose it lol, its about maintaining after

im planning on doing slimming world 6 days per week then having a takeout night once a week with the kids, we all need a treat, and i feel by eating good all week and one big treat then i will maintain and not keep losing

what they dont realise is by saying these things they make me more determined to prove them wrong not put me off
and i know for a fact they walk away and talk about me saying she will put it on blah blah

The world is full of small minded people who can't stand anyone doing something to better themselves. Some of your fellow parents sound like the worst sort!
Hold your head up high and be really proud of yourself. You are doing a difficult diet to give yourself and your kids a better life. When you are gorgeously slim and maintaining, they will be the ones looking silly. As others have said, I bet they are just jealous because they don't have the guts and will power to do this themselves.
You are doing so well, and you have the love and support of your family and all of us on here. No wonder they feel pig sick and jealous!

awwww what a lovely uplifting post, thank you so much, i could not this diet without all of you on here, your all amazingly supportive and understanding, and thats what u need on this diet, undertsanding as a lot out there dont get it at all..........and i cant wwait to be slim, i just cant and lipotrim is the way to go in my eyes
