Mixed bean chilli!
You can buy a tin of mixed beans for about 45p, a tin of chopped toms for 30p (value ones), an onion, a chilli or some chilli flakes and a stock cube and there you go!! That would make 2 or 3 portions for a pound!

Or potato cakes?
Grated potato with chopped spring onion, bind with an egg and fry in fry light. Serve with baked beans. That's gotta come in cheap!

How about mini quiches made with bacon, onion and beaten eggs. Mix all the ingredients together and then poor the mixture into muffin or yorkie pud tins and then bake in the oven at 200 degrees until cooked.

These are ideal for red day/EE packed lunch or snacks.
