I'm a 48 year old Mummy of 5, lost significant amounts of weight on Lipotrim previously. 15 stones 10 at my heaviest, 11 at my recent lowest, currently 12 stones 12 now. (82kg) I conceived my last child post reversal of sterilisation whilst on a Lipotrim journey, and had a mummy make over (Tummy tuck and breast uplift) following weight loss with Lipotrim about 2 years ago. I have gained some weight back recently and do not want to undo the surgery results, (which changed my life), so here I am for a quick fix again! I have adopted a very active lifestyle since my very first journey, however, I still love wine, but wine doesn't love me! It is because of my love of wine that the weight creeps back on each time, so I am here to cleanse the palate and re-set once again! Look forward to inspiring and being inspired by you all. Good luck on your journies,!

Low carb/keto is what I plan to do following an initial loss on Lipotrim. I have tried it before when I have run out of shakes and the weightloss is almost as good. (with strict keto). Good luck in your continued success!

Thank you! I'm doing lazy keto (not counting carbs daily) - but not doing lots of ketofied cakes and snacks. I think this will be a good way to maintain.

Absolutely. I will not count either, that is why I can't stick to any other diets other than Lipotrim and Keto! Good luck for today!

Update to my diary: Day 4: Got through what I was expecting to be a really difficult day. An outdoor birthday party in the park with champagne and picky food. I have been stressing about this day, sitting around, socialising in the sun with bubbles and nibbles being offered. I was offered a glass as soon as I arrived. I wouldn't normally turn down one to be sociable, but I was conscious of the gruesome few days I have spent getting into ketosis. I spent a good 30 mins explaining why I had to be party pooper today, explaining the process of ketosis, the 3 day hungry feeling and side affects before reaching ketosis, and how I couldn't put myself through reversing it all again after reaching a stage of feeling great, for the sake of a couple of glasses of champagne! I would normally avoid a situation like this whilst on Lipotrim, but it was a kids party, and the norm here in Luxembourg is that the adults stay and socialise too. I made that extra effort to try and be as sociable as I am when I have popped a glass or two! Home now, having survived it without ruining my diet! Also did a short run this morning (3km), something I could not have done at my peak weight, and something I will keep up always now. Next task, some abdo focussed workouts and some yoga!

This is great Jess, well done! I can fully appreciate how challenging these situations can be ๐Ÿ˜’

Itโ€™s definitely never EVER worth it, Iโ€™ve made the mistake in the past of thinking โ€œoh itโ€™s only a bit of chickenโ€..... but then I usually always ended up completely sabotaging myself and undoing some of my progress, which Iโ€™ve learnt only makes the process harder. It really is all or nothing on Lipotrim, give it everything and be 100% or donโ€™t bother at all.

When did you move to Luxembourg? What is it like there?

Thank you Gembino! Agreed with the chicken. Today has been a hungry day, I think I over did it with the exercise and forgot to have my last shake yesterday (was doing that well yesterday I didn't feel hungry at all.), so I have taken it easy today, no workout and plenty of water. I moved to Luxembourg in 2013, 3 months after my last child was born. My husband was here 6 months before me working, but I wanted to wait until after the birth to relocate. I didn't want to take any risks of things being lost in translation with such a complicated gyne history. I had to be sectioned as soon as I went into labour due to high risk of uterine rupture due to multiple C sections. Didn't want to have to explain this in French at the time! But it is an amazing country, surrounded by forest, we live a 100 metres from ours which makes it perfect for an active lifestyle! The weather is mostly good (apart from this week), with all 4 seasons coming at the right time, when it's winter it snows and we ski/sledge, when it's summer it's hot and we go the the swimming lakes and outdoor pools. It really is beautiful. There are so many wonderful parks and historical sites also. The downside is everything evolves around food and wine! Including celebrations at the school, local events, the cinema, kids play centres, even athletic events!, so it makes it very difficult with temptation all around! The best thing about Luxembourg is the multi lingual education, the kids are educated in French, German, Luxembourgish and English, so my 7 year old speaks all these languages already. Anyway, enough of me rambling on! Hope your day has been a success, I am about to browse all the posts!

Day 7 of Lipotrim: Weigh day: 9lb down. Got through this first week with the support of all you lovely people. Following your posts and chatting to some of you have just made things a whole lot easier than my last attempt. So thank you!. I have had a what I would call moderate week. I started off strong, lost the hunger around day 3, but then it returned. I suspect it is due to the amount of exercise I do, that and intermittent fasting. I use the Fastic app and try and drink all my shakes in a time window. This is a way of eating I would eventually like to continue after re-feed. Perhaps not such a good idea during Lipotrim...I will adjust this from today. My weight loss is in keeping with previous Lipotrim attempts, which is great, because I can almost predict subsequent weight losses if I stick to the plan. I feel loads thinner already! I have lost bloating around the belly and my waist has gone in. Definitely dropped a dress size I would say! What is wonderful is that I am no longer feeling deprived from wine, when your on a TFR like this, all you obsess over is food! For exercise, I have been doing walks, Lucy Wyndham Read abdo and drop a dress size workouts, as well as my friend Katy Mitchel Yoga classes. All these workouts are between 10 and 20 mins in lenght. I have done 1 or 2 runs, This is something I took up with a personal trainer during my last Lipotrim attempt. I am trying to keep it up but run less miles. It was always my goal to be able to run. On my first ever run, At my heaviest, I could not run for even 1 minute, now I can run up to an hour when I am at my peak fitness. Have a great day all, I am feeling awesome!!!

I would go with what brings the best weight loss, because then the end of the diet comes quicker.. But we are all different and that might not work for you. Either way it requires strong will power!

Day 10 and feeling good! Had a couple of days of low energy and hoping that will pick up today. I am so close to being in the next stone bracket. My goal for this weekend is to get in it! that and give my house a good clean prior to starting my new (temporary) job here in Luxembourg. It has been a challenge getting back to work since moving here, for health professionals we must have a certificate to demonstrate fluency in one of the 3 local languages they speak here. I arrived on maternity leave and decided not to return to work as at the time my husband was on a great salary and I wanted to be a stay home Mum, especially as this was my last child. But following husband's redundancy, I have had to learn a language, get this certificate, and make myself employable again so that we can continue paying the mortgage when the assistance from the Government expires! Goes to show what we can achieve when one has a reason so compelling ha ha!! Currently now applying that method to weight loss. My reasons are just as compelling. I want that I can live a longer healthy life and be around for my 5 children and 6 grandchildren. I had my last child towards the end of my child bearing years, so I want to be a fit health Mum for her and be able to run around playing tennis in the garden, swim in the lakes with her and have the energy to live a full and active life that doesn't hinder her in any way. For me, it is good to reflect at the weekend, because this is when I find the diet most difficult. Wishing everyone a great weekend, and hope that you achieve all your goals.

Good luck with your new job, Jess.

I think compelling reasons are essential. Mine are living well in my old age and sometimes I find it difficult to make that compelling! Sadly I have no children. Short term poor decisions and old habits are so easy to slide into.

I was successful with a VLCD diet but didn't sustain iit. So this time I am doing something slower that I hope to sustain. However, I am tempted by the results you and others get to do one again!

Congratulations on your own progress.
