rice pudding

hiya, i usually make mine on the hob aand finish off in the oven, all you need is pudding rice, skimmed milk and sweetner. and a bit of nutmeg for the top,it will tell you how much on the rice packet. enjoy

How many syns do syn it at....????? i love rice pudding but havent made it for a family of four since starting SW

2 oz pudding rice
i/2 pint water
pint s milk.
sweetener to taste.(add at very end before serving)
optional tsp nutmeg.
frylight

spray frylight over crock pot as if greasing it.
add rice and water and milk.
Cook on low for 2-3 hrs.
add nutmeg. (could do it in begining bit I find tases better at this point)
could add beaten egg here if wished.
Continue to cook until consistency you prefer.
Rice will absorb liquid so it does thicken.
when ready add the sweetener. I find loses sweetness longer you cook it so I always add it at end.
serve.

Thank you from me too. I'm going to give this a try too.l

Awesome....but what would you syn this as???

green /ee -Just syn the milk/use part for hexa.
so on green could be free(using hexax2).on ee approx 9 syns for pot or use hexa for half milk so be 4.5 syns per pot.

i have rice pudding cooking in the oven, i have used 50g pudding rice, 550ml skimmed milk and a big sprinkle of sweetner.... sprayed dish with better then butter fry light, then added rice, sweetner then milk and put in the oven for 2 hours ! ... as this will be between 2 of us my portion will use my HEx A of milk for today so this will be syn free! ... might have to syn a tsp or 2 of jam though ;)

Where are the syns on EE? If using milk from HEA surely it'd be free:confused:
Also, try making with water instead of milk - add a pot of free yoghurt when prefered thickness is reached - leave to warm gently on low - enjoy.

Doh, sorry - just re-read quantities and realised that it's for 4 servings so it'd need more than the daily ration of HEA milk.
