Rivita Mini's and M&S Salads

Hi there, I just have a quick query on the above topics.
Why are Ryvita minis so high in syns?? 5 per pack - surely they are whole grain and good for us?

Also - am I right in thinking If I buy an M&S superfood salad, don't pour the dressing over, the salad is syn free?

The ryvita minis are 5 syns as the general rule of thumb is 20 calories=1 syn. I have mine as HEB quite often.
