Hiya moomin and Differentusername. I'm along the same lines as Starlight too. I had a planned meal off and still lost 4lbs. My Lipotrim lady to me to stick to any protein (steak, chicken, turkey, white fish etc) and any veg that grows above the ground only as, like Starlight (?) said root veg are packed full of carbs. I'd had my shake for breakfast and lunch then my meal for tea, I've been 100% again ever since without too many problems.
For xmas dinner I'm intending on having a couple of slices of turkey, some sprouts, peas and cabbage. No spuds or gravy although I may have a very small spoonful of bread sauce that my mother in law makes for us every year and perhaps a yorkshire pudding. Xmas dinner is a main part of xmas for me and my family, it's the only time we all get together really so i'm not going to miss out on it but i am going to be sensible.
To be honest though the steak i had a few weeks ago really filled me up i couldn't eat much more - In total i had the steak (a fillet one with no fat at all on) a mushroom (sliced up) about a quater of an onion and 3 slices of pepper! lol I'd ordered a side salad and couldn't eat it, i gave it to my husband in the end.
It might be worth be remember too that your stomach's probably shrunk a bit by xmas so you might only want a small meal or not even have room for afters anyway.
Cath.
