scan bran cake with toffee muller light

I want to make this, I've tried scan bran before but never as a cake! how much water must I use to soak the scan bran?

Just enough warm water to soften it. I used to boil a kettle pour it over. Count to 5 and drain. It's highly absorbent.

I put it in a shallow dish and barely cover with boiling water. Leave for 5-10 minutes then add more if there are still some hard bits. I then usually drain it through a muslin cloth to remove any excess water.

Same for me....I find it takes a while to absorb the water and become a mushy mess!

I boil the kettle, pour water over 5 scan bran and soak for literally seconds. Then drain and mash it with my whisk. Add all the ingredients and pop in the microwave and cook for about 8.5 - 9 mins I also add sunmaid raisins and have a toffee and raisin cake yummyyyyyyyy
