Scan bran cakes

Are they actually nice, or are they just to make you feel like you've eaten cake? I was thinking of giving some a go but am a bit wary. I tried the all bran chocolate one and while it was ok I woudn't get excited about it.

I havent found one yet that i LOVE... they are edible but i think the best thing about them is that they help your digestive system 'work better' essentially.

The all chocolate one was ok - i cant say i loved it but it was edible. I am going to make a curly wurly one tomorrow so i will let you know how it goes

I do enjoy a scan bran chocolate cake:

5 scan bran softened in water,
2 tablespoons cocoa powder,
2 tablespoons golden syrup
artificial sweetener to taste
3 eggs

mix it all together and put in microwave for 8 mins,

I like it best warm with some berries and FF fromage frais.

I do genuinly enjoy it rather than just eating it for the sake of having cake.

also if you go on www.slimmingeats.com there is a squidgy chocolate cake recipe there which is lush, not scan bran but a SW cake, think its only 12 syns for whole thing. very nice. I put it in 2 cake tins then sandwiched it with quark and options 'chocolate mousse'

I love the mincemeat, Christmassy scan bran cake, and the marmalade one, I have a piece most days.

I really don't like any of the chocolate scan bran/all bran cakes though.
