does this cake taste a bit nicer when cooked in the oven? i have been told you can do it in the oven
just it seemed a bit soggy in the microwave

i topped it with chocolate spread too which made it lovely! i wish there could be a chocolate spread lower in sins though :/

If you want you can substitute scan bran for Rye Ryvita, the recipes come out OK, it is cheaper and a lot easier to get hold of.

I couldn't eat them, but someone suggested they are nicer toasted, so I tried that today and it was better. I had a couple with some reduced fat cheddar on for a snack. Much better than eating them straight out of the packet, when they are indeed like carpet tiles! But ace in recipes.

I've just bought my scan bran for the first time and am sadly excited about baking a cake with it. What's favourite?
My other question - if anyone out there has substituted all bran for scan bran - is it the same no of points etc if you just use same weight of all bran

Happy slimming everyone

My c made a chocolate one a couple of weeks ago for a taster session. It was very nice and yummy! Sorry cant help you re substituting all bran for scan bran.
