so 1 syn a serving? nom nom! it just so yummy when mixed with soya sauce and used instead of a jarred sauce or a fat laden take away!! thanks hun!

Does the 20 cal rule apply to other foods with non free foods in?
e.g crisps, choc, cakes and biscuits?

Indeed - one syn per 16.5g serving.

You're right - any food that has no free food in it will be 1 syn for every 20 calories.

Just found this on the SW website - same stuff?

Easy Stir Fry Paste, Chinese 5 Spice, Ginger & Garlic, ambient, 1 level tbsp 1½ 1½ 1½

I use the Chinese 5 spice in powder form - think it is free and only mixed herbs - but tastes amazing!!! And mix it with soy sauce. :)

Yeah it is the same stuff thank you :D See I dont really like the powdered one as I find it can be a little bit bitter and I always tend to put too much in. But I also use it for a chinese veg soup and find the paste dissolves better :D

Ahh okay. :) Ooo Chinese soup yum yum. :) I add garlic salt powder to it as well :)
Yeah see I always use smoked garlic cloves. and yeah the soup is souper easy haha see what I did there?!?!

I always find there is too much stiryfry veg in a pack for me and my OH and hated wasting the 1/3 of the pack we didnt use so I add the left over veg to plain veg stock with a tsp of soy sauce and the 5 spice stuff, easy quick veg soup :D and its really good cos you can add left over cooked beef, pork and chicken. Also if you want noddles in it just stick em in for a couple of mins before you stick in the veg and you got veg noodle soup :) plus you can change the type of stock to give it a different flavous. It's so easy lol

Definatly! So many variations to :) I love chicken with noodles in chicken stock with rep pepper, sweetcorn and onion soup!
