Seriously Considering Starting CD

#1
Hi everyone :wavey: my name is vickie and i have been reading the different threads on here and have been seriously considering starting the cambridge diet, i am soo amazed at everyones success that this has given me inspiration to try and fight the flab once and for all, too many years of sticking my head and ass in the sand lol and failing weight watchers and slimming world and all those other fad mad diets ive tried, thinking that one day id wake up slim, oh well soo i made the first step today and contacted my local cdc for more information, is this really gonna work me, i really have changed my habits and have lost a stone on my own just by cutting out the junk i used to eat.
Would love to hear from people who have just started with there story,

Hi VickChick

Welcome to Minis, you will find lots of support on here whatever diet you decide to follow.

From a personal point of view, I like you, had tried lots of different diets and failed miserably. After 15 years of being overweight I had decided I would be fat and happy. However, it wasn't long before I realised that the two, for me, didn't go together. I read up on CD and thought well I've got nothing to lose sh*t or bust so to speak. Here I am four months later and can't quite believe it! I would recommended it whole heartedly as it has changed my life. It's not always easy and you have to get your head round the no eating part but if you stick to it, it is guaranteed to work.

Good luck on your journey and whatever you decide keep posting as there are forums on here for every diet you could think of.

Good Luck with whatever you choose to do!

Thanks girls, i think its great having found this forum, im just a little scared today been up all night thinking i dont want to let myself down like i always do, sat and cried this morning thinking ive got to do it, at least for myself, im not telling anyone about starting the diet i just want them to see results, my 11 year old was wondering to himself last night what id look like thin and that hurt, he didnt mean it in a nasty way, we are very close and he loves me for who i am, same as hubby i just want to make them proud, i want to be able to go swimming with my son as at the moment i make up every excuse not to get into the dreaded cossie. Many people say that im not that big and i look fine and i am who i am, but you know what its not fine i am big and i look a mess lol, you see im always the confident one, dress to impress in the best way i can, bubbly and beautiful thats what all my friends say, but you know its all an act because really i dont want to go out with my friends for a drink, i hate the way i look, but as always place the big smile and off i go, anyway enough rambling i will keep you all posted.xx

just started today

hi
nearly finished my 1st day on the C.D. To be totally honest with you today has been great. I had a shake at 8am then soup at 1pm and have just finished another soup. It was quite difficult at work coz i work in a nursery and used to pick on snacks etc, that was has gotten me to this size lol. Had a few moments when i felt a headache coming on but just drank loads of water and it soon went by.
I felt nervous bout starting it as well but i think as i get used to it things will get easier.

Kim xx
