Sick of carrying 2 hitchikers, Part 2....1 down 1 to go !!!!!!!

Hello all, had a really bad few weeks, not so much weight wise, I am holding my own there....but my skin is not great at all, had an appt with specialist yesterday and she wants me to try a new drug, but I have to have a battery of tests first and then I have to go back and see her on 2nd January...my hands and feet are taking turns, as soon as my hands clear my feet breakdown and vice versa, it's really beginning to get me down a bit....but I will persevere and I won't let it beat me.
More bad news, Kelly lost the baby, she is in hospital today having a D&C, am really gutted about that but she seems fine, says she knew from the start it wouldn't make it, she just felt it wasn't right ...says there is a reason the things happen and she will just try again.
Good news is that Kirsty has just over 2 weeks before bubs is due she is fully engaged and has gotten huge in the tummy area....I am dead proud of her with regards to her weight, she has gained 1st 9lb the whole pregnancy, the national average is 2 and a half stone, the last 2 weeks she has maintained, but then that's probably cos she hasn't stopped cleaning and clearing stuff out lol...I don't have much left in my house as she has thrown it all out and has changed the rooms about too ...I don't mind if it keeps her busy lol.
Hope you're all well, I am going to do a bit of reading back on my own Diary for tips and will then try and pop in and see you all xxx:hug99:xxx

Oh Lily, I am so, so sorry to hear about Kelly losing the baby :bighug: it's probably going to be really difficult for her with Kirsty being so close to having her baby, but I know you'll help her to get through this :bighug:

Really hope the new drug helps with your skin, I can't begin to imagine what it must feel like :bighug:

Thank you Emmy, was at Kelly's last night after she finally got out of the hospital as her hubby had his xmas do, said he wasn't going she said he was ...she won lol...she said last night that in fact the thought of Kirsty giving birth and her being a real auntie, not a half auntie or a step auntie has kept her upbeat and she is very excited about it, even though she is in loads of pain ...will explain all momentarily xxx I too have my fingers crossed for these new drugs but I'm not going to hold my breath lol xxx

Hello lovelies and thank you all so much for your kind wishes....as with most things in my families lives Kelly's D&C didn't go smoothly, Kelly had one before after she lost a baby between having Kelsi and Kia and was fine, she said she felt more upset with that one as she was 4 months gone and had felt baby move and had a scan and everything, this time she was only 6 weeks and baby was little more than a coffee bean as she called it, plus as she said she just felt awful from day one and knew in her heart it wouldn't make it, she had 2 scans in 2 consecutive weeks and neither showed a heartbeat or any growth...so as I said nothing runs smoothly...she went in at 7.15 Thursday morning to have the D&C but unfortunately she developed a clot in her stomach (I won't go into the details of the hows and where's of where she had the injections to clear the clot as it's very personal lol even though I got a very graphic description...thanks Kels :8855:), by 6pm Thursday night the clot had broken up but not passed so they kept her in to give her further injections and an Anti D injection (Kelly has rhesus negative blood) and to keep an eye on her and finally released her at 7pm last night, they said that she still had 2 small clots but they were happy to let her come home as long as she did nothing and came back if there were any even minor problems, she says the only problem is the pain in her stomach, she can't stand up straight says she reckons it must be how someone would feel after a C section...thankfully Simon is on his rostered annual leave until Wednesday so he can look after her ....I am sure she'll be fine, hopefully before her birthday on Tuesday or even her sons on Monday lol
Kirsty is in agony today, says it is painful to stand, walk, go loo or do anything, because she hasn't really put any weight on her tummy is like a really tight little ball and baby is fully engaged and very very active lol....she is supposed to be due in just about 2 weeks, I really can't see her making it ...so watch this space lol she is out tonight for a meal as it's Marks birthday today and his aunties on Tuesday (same day as Kelly's) but his auntie is over from Spain where she lives, I keep telling them baby is going to be here by the time Kirsty sits down for her main meal and if what she she's said all day gets any worse I could well be right :fingerscrossed: xxx
Hope you're all well ....I will get round to popping in and saying hello but everytime I get 5 minutes I get called away, so I am making the most of a few free minutes while they are all out lol...take care xxx:hug99:xxx

Hey lily, good to see you posting but not with sad news of course. Hope you're doing we'll in yourself though. :)

God ur definite n d wars between d lot o u . Well look after yourself is main thing

Hello hun and thank you ,yeah seems to be that when one of us gets a bad time we all do, but you just have to pick yourself up dust yourself off and carry on as normal xxx

Hey lily, good to see you posting but not with sad news of course. Hope you're doing we'll in yourself though. :)
Hello Kath, good to be back and posting again, has been really hectic here the last few months, and with my psoriasis taking a turn for the worse it's not been a good 3 months either.....funnily enough although my hands and feet don't look brilliant they do seem to have calmed down a lot in the last week so hoping for a bit of a let up from them :fingerscrossed:
Kelly is doing fine and has gotten over the worst of it now.......... seems to be ok in herself too, was her birthday today which means other than 1 more birthday on the 26th of this month we are over all the birthdays until January (not including the birth of Kirsty's baby lol), thank heavens having about 8 birthdays over the course of 4 days is not too much fun at this time of year believe me lol xxx

Went to wi tonight and I really feel I am back in it properly, after weeks and weeks of gaining and losing the same half pound or pound, I finally had a good 4lb loss tonight, am totally chuffed with that considering all the cake, takeaways and junk we seem to have eaten the last 3 weeks lol
5 weeks to Xmas Day and I want to be about another stone lighter, so that's my goal.

Oh and before I go, Kirsty had to go to hospital today as she has a lot of protein in her waters, while she was there she had a show...fingers crossed baby will be here soon, I am getting very excited now lol

Hope you're all well and cya soon TTFN xxx:hug99:xxx

Yay to the fab loss, yay to you back posting and yay to baby stuff :)

Hi all, well news nothing great at the moment...had a few tests last week ready for my new drug in January and then Sunday night came down with flu, the real deal, aching everywhere and unable to get out of bed unless it was for loo, eaten very little and drunk loads and what I have eaten has been soup mainly. Started to feel better yesterday but found after a few minutes being up I wanted my bed again lol....we were supposed to be going away today for our Anniversary which is on Tuesday but have cancelled as I don't really feel strong enough and because of the flu virus it's kicked all my meds into touch and once again I am having a very bad flare up with my psoriasis. We have decided to try and go away for Mal's birthday in February instead, am gutted but these things happen !!

Just had Kelly on the phone she is on more anti inflammatory's and antibiotics, where they put the Cannula in her when she had the D&C, a small blood clot has formed so fingers crossed that all works out, she has a lump just above her wrist and her hand is numb...Doctor reckons 3 to 4 weeks before it's right. She also has an appt next week to see the doc about her op for her shoulder, she was supposed to have it just when she found out she was pregnant, but after losing baby they have now put her back on the list so that could be going ahead in early January, she will most likely be in a full body cast so that will be me looking after her for the next 6 months or so lol...it's all go here I can tell ya lol

Kirsty is due on Wednesday, so close now, but the last 2 weeks at her midwife check ups, on measuring baby, they are now concerned that baby is too big for Kirsty and they want to induce her if he/she isn't born naturally by Tuesday...so they have booked her in at 3.20pm ....bubs might be born on our Anniversary lol. I can understand the midwifes concern, last week bubs gained 2.5cms in length, the week before 2 cms and the week before that 2.5cms, so bubs has grown by 3 inches in 3 weeks and the national average is just 1cm a week, so 1 inch in 3 weeks and this is 3 times that amount...Kirsty bless her is so uncomfy, her tummy is really really tight and looks like she has a medicine ball shoved up her jumper and baby moves constantly really looks like he/she is trying to push their way out, doesn't help that Kirsty hasn't really put that much weight on....just over a stone and a half and the last 3 weeks, she has lost 1lb, sts and sts in that order....so hopefully won't be long before I'll be showing off my new grandbaby to you lol

Take care all ...miss you all heaps xxx:hug99:xxx

P.S. Didn't go to group this week as I was laid up with the flu so next week hoping for a good loss xx

Gws Lily and happy anniversary whatever you end up doing :)
