Six month challenge anyone?

Yep, definitely more the merrier! I started this for anyone to join in, we all need a challenge from time to time :) Just add yourself on xxx
 
I'm feeling very motivated after reading this. Thanks girls. I'm going to make a banana and chocolate cake which should (hopes) satisfy my sweet tooth and only 3 syns a slice.

I adapted a recipe from the recipe section as follows-
6 eggs
50g sr flour
1cup of sweetener
1tsp baking powder
2 bananas
3 tablespoons cocoa powder

Mash the banana
Separate the eggs into two bowls
Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks
Mix the banana, sweetener, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and egg yolks together.
Fold in the egg whites and put in a cake tin.
Bake on 180 for approx 40 mins covering with foil halfway through to prevent burning.
I'm not usually a slimming world cake fan but I looooved this one.
 
Ooh thanks. Think I'll have a go at this ine. How many syns is it for the whole cake? Not that I'd eat it all in one go but I can see how many portions I get out of it and can divvy the syns up per portion lol

This week I lost 1.5lbs :) I am so pleased with that as I do struggle so any loss is a great thing for me, I have found seeing my losses to go in pounds rather than stones and pounds reallys helps me as it feel so much more do able and not so scary

I also struggle with sweetener for the same reason, I always seem to use what looks like too much but then find I need more x

Ahhhhh, hubby bought m&s choc orange hot cross buns. Oh, well Easter is but once a year. it's not been helped by the fact I can't go to weigh in later as we're visiting relatives. So in my brain it doesn't matter which is so silly. I only need to lose 4 more lbs and then I'll have a healthy BMI so why i am self sabotaging I don't know.
 
I think you need to know yourself. If you can have a few treats and then come back and finish what you started then go for it. I can't do that I plan in my treats and then when they are planned I can have them and there's no problem. If I have treats that are unplanned it can totally derail me. Last time I was 2 lb away from no longer being obese and whatever happened kept happening until I had regained it all. So this holidays I am sticking to my plan and only having the weekend off I planned - and that is not for another 2 weeks! Good luck whatever you decide :)
 
Ergh long time no see, I've had an awful month. I think I will restart this as losing what i planned will just be impossible now, I think 23lbs would be more realistic across the remaining 5 months.
