Okay i know this is a forum, collective thing but i am starting the cambridge diet tomorrow. Ive tried every bloody diet available: atkins, juice, GL, slimfast, weightwatchers to name but a few (i kid you not) This is the last chance for me. I have acccpeted that i am addicted to food and need a drastic measure.

It aggrevates me as i was slim up until june 07, staying within 8-1/2 to 9 stone. In under a year, due to a series of things (excuses i know) i have moved up to over 11 stone!

I need to sort this out now before i get bigger and bigger. If anyone else is starting, or has just started it would be great to get some support from people feeling the same as me....my whole family are slim so they dont really understand as much as they try!

So, anyone else that feels the same let me know!!xxx

I was fine - you might be surprised, some people sail through the first few days waiting to be hit by some awful withdrawl symtoms and dont get a thing.

I did no prep week, nothing, infact weekend before I started on the Monday I had anything and everything, red wine, white wine, crisps, nuts, McD's, bacon sarnies, steak jacket pots and more wine, plus sweets and never had any problems through it.

If you're feeling rough, just keep some painkillers handy, get yourself some magazines, bubble bath and early nights xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well...i didnt do any prep. I just ate smallish amounts of dire things....like vienesse biscuits and garibaldi biscuits....and wiggly worms and haribo lol....is it just me but when you have put on weight you just think your down about your weight you may as well eat what you want, and you find yourself eating things you've never eaten before!
I'd never even tried garibaldi biscuits before!!lol....

I must say i have looked and your ticker numerous times in the last three days, as you have posted and i just keep thinking to myself if i can do anything like that i will be so so so happy!! I have polycystic ovaries so im hoping that wont stall my weight loss too much!

My whole family are slim and tiny and really trying to help though, so much so that they have tried not eating in front of me, bless them!!

    xxxx

I felt exactly the same hun, when I started and here I am fast aproaching hte end of my 6th week - you must have faith in both the diet and most importantly yourself, you are worth all this effort. If you do this properly, it will be a matter of weeks before you reach goal - what better incentive can you ask for???????????

    Good luck xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I cant really! I am so so determined now, i am a proper food addict and if i dont address things now it will only get worse, hence why i KNOW i wont give up until im there!

Im thinking it'' take at least four months at this rate but whats four months when its the rest of my life in store, im only young lol

Thanks for the luck, much needed haha xxxx

I'm a food addict as well - you are not alone!!!!!

4 months of this is nothing, then onto maintenance so that the weight does not all go back on (very very very important is maintenance!!!) xxx
