Hi, I've joined SW several times in the past with limited success. In fact last time I joined, in March, I didn't lose a single pound in 3 weeks and actually gained a half pound so I gave up in despair. My friend at work who weighed about the same as me has lost almost a stone on SW in 4 weeks with very little effort but she did tell me that her leader did not lose on SW for 6 whole weeks when she joined but that the weight then started to come off. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience that would then give me hope? I love SW as it's so easy to stick to, i love all the good wholesome food and I really want it to work.

I am interested in this. I have been on the plan for 3 weeks. 1st week i lost 2.5 pounds and since then lost nothing even tho following the plan to a tea!!! I also like slimming world as feel it shows you good healthy eating and i like how much you can eat ha ha..... so id be interested to see what people say..... ill keep on with it and see what happens.... are you going to try it again?

I think a lot depends on how much weight you have to lose. I only ever lost between 1/2 and 1lb a week as I only had about a stone to lose. Another member at group was losing 5-7lb a week but had more to lose. If you following the plan 100% I'm sure you'll start losing. It could be that you're not drinking enough fluids, particularly water.

Am going to start in the New Year. Realistically I'm not going to stick properly to it until after Xmas. I don't know why it doesn't appear to really work for me, the weight has literally been dropping off my friend and she hasn't deprived herself in any shape, form or manner!!! Grrrrrrr ;-).
I have a couple of stone to lose although a stone would make me happy at the minute. I think I'll just have to stick with it for longer than I normally do to see if the weight begins to come off. Bodies are funny things, everyone is different, I suppose!! :-(
