Its a terrible world we live in one of our family friends was killed saturday in afgan. The poor mother the 3 boys were alll there together he was only 19.

This really is terrible. My 18 year old nephew is talking about going in the army and the whole family is horrified at the thought.

So very sorry. It is heartbreaking. We hear far too much of this nowadays.
My son also wanted to go there, and I am eternally grateful that he messed up his knee halfway during training and was medically discharged, which was heartbreaking for him at the time but a big relief for me.

I'm so sorry to hear of this. Someone on the Cambridge forum lost a friend in Afghanistan recently. I've a friend whose husband is part of a UN peace keeping sortie in Kandahar.

It all feels so wrong and such a waste of another human life. RIP all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice xxx

I'm so sorry to hear this. My daughter's boyfriend was seriously injured in afgahnistan last month, he had to have a leg amputated but he considers himself lucky to be alive.
