how do you manage to go out at weekends as Im a right miserable sod not wanting to go out in case I gain.cant let it ruin my life but what can I drink and how do I manage to lose weight by going out drinking
 
Sitting here watching rubbish Friday TV because of exactly the same reason. Pfff. :(
 
yeah lol but my hubby will divorce me if I stay in all the time, and I love going out but don't want to drink pop all night
 
Most clear spirits are 2.5 syns for 25ml, and diet mixers are free. I like vodka with soda and a squeeze of proper lime, yum! It is possible to lose weight and still go out, you just need to watch the hangover munchies the next day (or that night...maybe prepare something in advance like some syn free pasta to eat when you get home if you're hungry?)

On average I'll have about 30-35 syns on alcohol at a weekend, but as long as I watch what I eat for the rest of the week I can still lose weight (I have a tendency to be naughty and eat cake though, oops! ;)) xx
 
This is where I usually fall down too but this time around I've joined a gym. I work out how many drinks I'm going to have and hit the gym and burn them off before I go out. So far it's working also I make a curry before going out so I don't just grab something when I get home.

You can still go out and have fun and not drink. Loads of people do that.
 
Most at my group use their syns for going out/drinks and it works fine for them

Play around with it see whs good for you x
 
I have just been saving syns day beofre and afyer to have a few extra vodkas on a night out. Its hard in peoples houses though cos they're all offering wine and food and all sorts. If I plan a night out I can be good but when its last minute its difficult
 
well im sorted martini and diet lemonade 2 1/2 syns wow and a big glass too happy :)
 
You're allowed 5 - 15 syns a day / or 35 - 105 a week - so try and cut down during the week and save enough for the weekend. Spirits and low cal mixers are best and maybe try to have a sparkling water or diet drink between your other drinks.

Volunteer to be the designated driver - your friends will love you and wont think you're the boring sober one. You should be able to have fun without alcohol really.
 
Its not that I cant have fun without alcohol but being in a smelly night club at 2am with your mates going nuts on the dance floor is difficult sober.

Besides it's down to personal choice!
If you want to save syns for a night out thats fine and if you prefer to abstain when out, or stay in, then fair enough.
 
Im a very socialable person and my bf loves taking me out all the time. Last weekend i was out until 1am drinking just diet coke. This weekend ive got a meal out in the daytime so ill go for fillet steak and veg and out clubbing on evening so i shall once again be on diet coke. I cant trust myself to have just 1 or 2 drinks so its best to avoid for me. Plus as said above cheaper night out :)
 
Just go out and have a few and stick to your syns across the week. Perhaps have 10 syns per day so 70 per week and just use less in the week, more on the weekend. Find a balance.

What do you drink when you go out? Swap Wines/cocktaisl for shorts and diet mixers.

Making changes like this will mean you are taking in less calories/syns and therefore wont impact your weight loss journey as much.
 
If I want to get wasted over the weekend I save up around 55 syns through the week (enough for around a 35cl bottle of vodka which gets me nice and trashed)
Did that last week and lost 3lbs!

ALWAYS eat before you go out or bring your own food though; I bring fruit with me everywhere and often even bring a couole of syn free yoghurts and a wholemeal roll if going to a friend's house or something. Nothing worse than being starving and the only option being doritoes or something that'll cost you a lot of syns to fill up on!
