Some advice for when you fall off track.

Well it has been an emotional few months for me with some personal stuff going on and I completely fell off track with slimming world. I just wasn't focused at all.

However I was determined this week to get back on track as I didn't want it to completely spiral out of control. I had been avoiding weighing myself, as I was scared to see the damage. Not so bad when it is a week off track, but when it is a couple of months I feared I was going to weigh more than what I did when I started slimming world.

So this morning I bit bullet, got out the scales and stood on them and to my surprise I have only gained 2.5lbs. I am really in shock.

So I basically just wanted to post some advice to anyone who falls off track and that is to NOT avoid standing on those scales, as the more you put it off, the more you struggle to find the motivation to continue, as you think well the damage is done now, so I may as well just continue.

However once you have stood on the scales, whether it be not so bad as you thought or really bad, it really does help you get that focused momentum back again.

I am with you on this one! I fell off the wagon for months and months due to losing my mum 8months ago and I couldn't sort myself out. When I finally bit the bullet and joined slimming world, I was only 5lb heavier than when I had last weighed about Feb time. Most definately a gain but I felt like it was much much worse. Huge relief for me because I was in a completely different stone bracket I had previously thought. In fact, it's this site that keeps me going :)
I think that is one of the good things about slimming world. You are not deprived of any foods, you dont have to weigh or work out the values of anything, because there are so much free items to choose from. It does change you way of eating for life.

So despite not being on plan, I obviously was subconciously if that makes sense.

If I had of fallen off track like that on a different diet, the damage would of been far far worse I am sure.
