Anyone tries Ainsley Harriott's Spelt? I brought a packet and was going to have half with some chicken tonight, and the other hald with some salad tomorrow. Anyone know if it tastes ok cold with salad?
Isn't spelt just a wheat substitute? So it might be like macaroni, couscous, lasagne, linguini, etc. or whatever they've made from it? I haven't seen Ainsley's one, but our local health food shop has a huge range of things made from spelt...but I haven't tried any of it yet Do let us know!
Yeah, had tea early as I have to go to work. It was ok, kind of like pearl barley and bits of other veg in a creamy sauce. Very filling, but would only fancy it once in a while. After trying it, I don't think it would be very nice cold, so won't be adding it to tomorrow's salad.
