my dad died many years ago , he had alzeimers as did my husbands grandad. I want to do something for the alzeimers charity this year so was thinking of a sponsored slim. I dnt know if im setting myself up tho as i didnt slim for my wedding this year but if i fail this then its not only myself i let down. Any advice guys

I think its a wonderful idea and the memory of your dad will be a great motivator for you. These charities do such a lot of good work in research etc and they need all the support they can get, so yeah hun, you go for it. Good luck.

thanks hun, ive emailed them but still unsure whether to go public with it or just do a £ for a LB with close family

I did this for Roy Castle's Lung Cancer charity a few years ago. We set up a Justgiving web page so family and friends could donate and I think we rasied about £70. Nowadays, what with Facebook etc, it would probably be a lot more!
