i've been on a diet for the past 10 years!!! and have steadily gone from 14st 7lb to 20st 2lb

a year ago i'd finally had enough, and had a gastric band fitted. i lost 4st between september and february which was fantastic :D

then in may some food got stuck, and for 10 days (until i got an emergency defill) i had nothing but flat lucozade and 20 boiled sweets. i lost 1st 2lb in 10 days

obviously as soon as i had the emergency defill about 12lb went back on straight away, as most of it was through re-hydration.

i have no restriction now, ie; i can basically eat whatever i want, in big quantities. i *could* rectify this by having a fill. but to be honest, i'm so scared of getting something stuck again, i'm trying to lose weight by dieting for now.

i started a calorie controlled diet last monday, and guess what? i managed to stick to it for 4 days, and these last 2 or 3 days i've been pigging out like a goodun, and so my total weight loss this week is a mere 0.5lb

i'm going to start slimming world online tomorrow, as my only failing really, is being hungry and bingeing. so i think that if i can fill up on 'free food', then half the battle is won!

i really hope i can do it this time

wish me luck! (i'm gonna need it!) xxxx

I had no idea food could get stuck! That sounds terrifying! But way to go on your weight loss so far, and I hope it keeps up. So good luck with slimming world!

Best of luck with Slimming World, it's a good plan if you like eating! I should know, I'm putting it away like it's going to be taken away from me.

I did SW before in a class about 2 years ago in the run-up to Xmas. I lost a stone in 6 weeks and then gave up after the inevitable turkey nosh and boxes of shortbread. :party0051:

Never got back into it until now and I'm not letting Xmas get me this year!

Well good luck to you too! :D

It definitely works doesn't it? I tried SW years ago, and like you i did really well. Until i had a 'night off'. At that time i was in the mindset that if i had a night off, i'd blown the whole thing.

Now i feel readier to accept the blips and move on. Fingers crossed it works! :)

    Hi Beki
Well done on the weight loss so far, you've done really brilliantly. I have never done SW, I joined once but never went back as I got so confused. I'm not doing very well at the moment. Actually disastrously is more correct! I'm always looking for something to eat. Anyway really Hope its still going well.

Thank you :) It's still going really well - i never seem to be hungry as i'm able to eat as soon as i feel even slightly hungry - and i don't feel guilty - what a revelation :D lol

I hopped on the scales this morning and surprisingly i seem to have lost 6lb already!!! Fingers crossed for monday's weigh-in! ;)
