Starting again - this time for good!!

I can't believe my last post on here was over 2 years ago! That was the last time I tried CD. Lost a stone or so and have now put it back on..

Really determined this time though as I am nearing 40 and just desperate to be at goal by then.

I'm on day 2 of CD and struggling through headaches and feeling sick but fingers crossed It gets better soon!

Anyone else starting again?

I'm starting again on Monday 3rd Jan. It's been quite a while since I was last on SS when I lost 4 stone in 4 months. I then stopped to go on hols for a couple of weeks and then couldn't get back into it. Unfortunately, most of the weight has gone back on. But I feel determined to do this again, I know it works, and this time I will see it through and work back up the plans to maintain the loss - great holiday at the time, but worse thing I did was to just stop with the diet and go mad on holiday.

Hopefully I'll get the weight back off and this time keep it off.

Hi Julie,

4 stone in 4 months is amazing! Maintaining must be really difficult, just as difficult as the diet I would imagine.

I have 5 stone to lose but to get 3 off would be like heaven. Can't imagine SS for 4 months, what was it like? Did it feel like years? I know 4 months goes quickly but every day of the past 3 days has felt soooo long!!

I feel much better today though, headache has gone and I found some water flavouring in the cupboard so have managed to drink almost 2 litres today.

Day 5 today and I am feeling so much better. Did have some chicken last night so i am not sure if that is why.

Tummy is rumbling tonight but i have managed all my water and I'm just going to sleep the rumbles off!

OMG Day 6, i stood on the scales this morning and I have lost 10lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooo pleased. My trousers feel comfortable and my tummy has really gone down - as there is nothing in it i suppose!

I felt quite constipated yesterday so I took 1 ducolax last night and was up about 3 times in the night but it has really cleared me out!! That has prob contributed to the weight loss.

I am just having second CD of the day. Saw CDC yesterday and got some mint choc bars, just having one now and it is surprisingly nice. Does satisfy my chocolate craving actually, a little (very little!) like After Eights...!

Only managed 1 litre of water so far so better get gulping.

Day 7, back to work today and I have been craving chocolate and biscuits all day.... Maybe I associate those things with work or maybe it is work that prompts me to eat them. Yet to work that one out.

Plus I am freeeeeeezing but hopefully that means i am in ketosis.

Seriously darling, keep going! Until just a couple of months ago, I was a heavy smoking, heavy 19 stone male, whos idea of healthy eating was not to pile as much salt on my kebab

Since joining, I've lost nearly 2 stone, quit the cigarettes, and booze (more or less) and feel much better, you can do it!

Bigmatt you are so funny! Can't believe you have made such big life changes though, good for you!

Had a good day today 3 shakes but only 1.5 litres of water so far.. have had 3 cups of tea, not sure if that counts though?

I was especially proud of myself though as people are bringing in chocs they didnt eat over Christmas, all my faves and I have looked at them a few times today but haven't touched them at all!! That is sooo amazing for me.

Day 9.. cracked.... had some chicken tikka pieces and a few bites of poppadom... I was doing so well, I could really kick myself.

11 lbs lost the scales said and now I've gone and blown it, Sooo annoyed.

I'm getting back on it tomorrow. I stopped myself from eating anymore tonight (my daughter took them away!) so hopefully I will be able to continue tomorrow even though i know it's bound to affect me and knock me out of ketosis.

Managed to get back on and another 2lbs off!! 1 more lb and that is the first stone!!

Don't feel so bad now about having a bit of chicken every now and again if I really need it.

Well i did the stone, 15lbs actually but then i ate.... And couldnt stop for 5 days, felt sooo down and my lovely friend invited me up to hers for the weekend and we got back on the diet yesterday.

Feeling much better in myself that i have managed to get back on track although I had put on 5lbs in that 5 days, nightmare!!!

Here's to a determined week!
