Hi everyone,
I have decided to start Akins today after doing ww for the last month and only losing 1lb per week if I was lucky, so demotivating.
Anyways, I have a few questions if you dont mind.
1. This morning I had kippers, the carb content was 1.0, do I count these carbs out of my 20 per day, do I now only have 19 carbs left?
2. Am I allowed to get one of those steam fresh meals, like for example haddock in mediterainian sauce with veg and just take it off my carbs for the day?
3. Do I also count the cream that I have in the coffee out of the carb allowance?

Ur daily carb allowance is for everything, including cream etc. I'd steer clear of ready meals full stop but especially during induction. They usually contain things not allowed on induction like certain vegs.

Stay clear of ready meals until after induction. 15g of yours carbs should be from veg. and yes count the cream

Hi moti and welcome, I have yet to find a low carb ready meal myself, and the salt content is shocking

Hi Moti. Count all the carbs for everything, as said. It's amazing how the odd 1 carb in a cup of tea here and 1 on some cream or cheese there can add up so you need to keep track. If you're eating plain meat and veg it does tend to be a lot simpler. Good luck with your first week!
