I really fancy making a quorn stew (I'm veggie) with dumplings. I have never made them before so I was wondering if anyone has a simple recipe and the associated syn values please?

    Thanks :)

Tesco do a dumpling mix that is 18 syns for the packet you just add water. I got 14 baby dumplings out of it

or you could use the smash scone recipe and make like a cobbler topping?

1 tub of cottage cheese (no syn one)
    1 pkt smash
    3 eggs
    salt and pepper
water to mix to a consistency where you can mould into scone shapes

pop on top of your casserole and cook for 25 mins ish on 190 until golden brown - I sometimes add one HEXA of grated cheese to the mix as love it

tesco is the lowest syns dumpling mix I could find so far.

You can't beat real dumplings but the syn free scone mix above is also very very nice. Michelle made them a while ago clever lady :) My kids even like them. They are better with a hexa of cheese through them, but shared between a family its only minimal syns as the recipe makes about 12 or more scones for the topping,so 1/2 syn each?
