Hi guys,

Last summer I started off on Lighter life and with a few bumps and a bit of side-tracking I managed to lose 2 stone. I couldn't sustain the diet for long though because as a guilty chocoholic, I kept cheating all over the place! And of course as a student, I couldn't afford it. However I managed to ween myself off LL whilst maintaining my weight. I'm content with how far I've come and my weight now, but I still have not crossed the finish line and met my goal weight! So after being inspired by my friend who lost a lot of weight on slimming world, I decided to go for it since I've got nothing else to lose but weight! I've been on it for 3 weeks and I'm really enjoying it so far. Still trying to get to grips with how it works and which foods are/not free etc. but i'm getting there!

The challenges I would say are pub crawls and drinking socials. I live in catered halls, so trying to select foods not entirely slavered in oil can be tough too!

Any students on here that can relate, or have experiences of their own to share?
