Superfree and superspeed - just curious

I have been told that veg is better than fruit as super free food (because of the natural sugars) however, these are superspeed foods.

Veg has lower sugars but aren't SS foods!! I'm just curious about the science behind it if anyone can shed any light?
 
This is completely a guess but I would imagine it's because it requires more effort to eat fruit. For example, cooked vegetables you'd eat with a knife and fork and don't require that much chewing.. where as with foods like apples you're burning calories whilst eating them because of the effort required. You also don't cook them so a lot of the goodness remains in tact.

That's my theory anyway... :)

the none cooking part is probably true - hubby said something about the cellulose will work the body harder to break it down....again just another guess
