Susie58- 2014 the year of my success

I dont know how any of you manage to stop and start to be honest.
This diet is hard enough without having bits of food here and there and basically having to do day 1 over and over!

However life is for living and very often gets in the way of this diet but you just have to make the best of it.
You and others that do that have such determination and resolve to be able to do it.
When it happened to me in the past i have found it too tough and given up!!

Keep going, you are doing great!! x

Hi Smidge. Feeling a bit less moody LOL. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back to cheerful x

Well today is a brand new day so chin up and have a good one :D look forward to seeing how you're gettin on later x

Hope today has been a much better day for you Susie, big loves x

The stop start thing is very difficult, but it can be done :)
Its easier to get into start mode, as long as you don't stay in stop mode too long ;)
Keep plodding on with it Susie :)

Hi Susie, how are you doing chick? You've done so well so far and you can continue to do well :) its a roller coaster! X

Morning all.

So another start for me today:wave_cry:.

Had a meal last night which was low carb but then I blew it & had some chocolate mousse!!

Feel like I'm stuck on a roundabout & in a bit of a rut at the moment. One day good & in control, one day rubbish. Need to get myself into the right frame of mind again.

Now usually at this stage I would just give up for the month, have a good old binge & say to myself I will restart on the 1st. I'm definitely not going to do that this time. Today I will stay TS no matter what. I have exactly 4 weeks till my next meal out so I can still get a fair amount off by then

On a downer I wanted to be TS for the whole month so that I would see a nice large number at the monthly WI, That's not happened & now my WI is going to be on the low side.

I have just tidied up the kitchen. My daughter & sons had their partners round last night & guess what's been left on the worktop.

2 tubes of Pringles
2 large packets of multi-crisps
Tub of drumstick lollipops
I large bag of gums
1 large pack of maltesers
& lots of cocktail drink stuff.

Not making this any easier. I think they will all have to move out LOL

On the upside I have done the Plank challenge & up to 51 seconds ;). I can feel the muscles around my lower back getting stonger so hopefully that will help with my lower back discs stay where they should be.

Oh & another 2 fence panels are out after last nights storm so the dog has to have an escort while she is out in the garden. Luckily my son will have the works van today so he will pick up some new panels on his way home. My husband will have no excuse then for not replacing them ha ha.

Hope everyone is having a good day x

Dust yourself off and carry on Susie :)

As for all that junk food - find a cupboard, put it all inside and shut the door

.....you don't need that rubbish in your life :D

The weather isn't going to let up anytime soon it seems - hope nothing else falls off your house

......I've been very lucky and no damage, but last night I was actually scared for a couple of hours - wind gusting so much, it was banging against the windows.

Stay safe and dry :gen126:

Doesn't matter that u haven't had whole month TS. That's done. What matters us now and next 4 weeks. U can totally do this. Put all that junk in the bin if need be! X

A new day susie :)
4 weeks until your next day off.
You could be a good stone down by then, and into a smaller size too ;)
You know what all thise goodies already taste like. You don't need them :)
Keep plodding on with it :)

Susie you can start your TS month / fortnight / week on any day or date - that's the good thing about this diet, you can draw a line under the past and start again today. I know it's only words but it always helps me to say I'm starting today rather than I'm restarting which gives me the feeling that I've already started and failed - each go is a separate new one........or maybe it's just me that talks to myself this way :D

Have a good day lovely xx

Hi Katie. You are right. I suppose I just used to say I'll start at the beginning of the month as it was a way of delaying it all. Unhealthy way of thinking really.
But today is mid month, not a Monday & I'm starting so I must be getting better at this ;) x

Glad to see you overcoming the control of food :) heres to a TS month for you!

Hi Susie. I totally get you. I'm terrible for thinking 'Oh well, I had that pizza for lunch, I might as well enjoy the rest of the day, week, month and start again tomorrow, next week, next month etc.' or the other one is to tell myself that my current weigh in day isn't a good one so I'll stay off diet until whatever day is 'better.' I think the important thing for me to realise is that whatever I do to'spoil' things, it is important what I do in the next five minutes, hour, day, week etc. I know that it is unlikely that I will ever be able to have a really long run at it -even though I will still keep trying - but that every second, minute, hour, day, week etc that I do keep on track will result in loss rather than gain! To be honest, I'm happy with just 2 or 3 lb a week as I worry about baggy skin and wrinkles! A slow steady loss will do me. However if I carry on the way I've been doing, it will be no loss as opposed to slow loss!

Lynne I would be happy with a slow steady loss once I'm within about 1 & 1/2 stone from target. At the moment I have too much to lose so need to stick to TS as much as possible. I'm lucky in that I don't have work lunches to deal with. Just the odd occasional social meal so I have no excuse apart from my own silly thoughts sabotaging me.
Why is also that once you get of reack the amount of exercise & steps we do are also affected

As you say no loss is not what we want let alone a gain!!

Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend Susie and that all's going well xx

Hi Susie, sorry to hear you had a little blip and hope you have managed a good day TS! This diet really is a test, if only all temptation could be kept away from us it would be a lot easier. Your doing really well so make this blip just that, your end of the month WI is less than 2 weeks now and in 2 weeks that choc mousse won't feel so bad if you have got back to TS and have a lovely loss to smile about. X

Hey Susie, sorry to hear about your blip hun. I feel like I've had a few days of blips to be honest. Get back on it hun and focus on why you're doing this (I'm currently telling myself the same thing) xx
