Hi there,

If you have chanced upon my Newbie Diary then Welcome to ya :D Let me start by saying I'm Liz, 35, Engaged to Wull and a Mummy to my Gorgous Son Callum. What brings me to Minimins you may ask..Easy a tired, worn down Overweight body all 23st 10lbs of it and ENOUGH IS ENOUGH :giveup:

Was there a Tipping Point, an Embarrasing Moment, a trigger that made me think i want to change?? There have been plenty believe me but 1 after the other i just seemed to become Numb to the fact that my weight was Creeping up..and in the end it was Sprinting.

Ive had the horrible moment in a changing room when a top was nearly stuck onto my body and could barely get it off, on a ride in Blackpool with my toddler and nearly capsized the dingy we were both in..shall i continue??

Nope because i woke up 1 morning with a huge Determination that my life was going to change..that i look in the mirror and i dont even recognise the person staring back at me and i just soo want to get back the Huge self confidence i once had..all this through being OVERWEIGHT!!

So on the 4th January 2012 i joined Slimming World and havent looked back since :D In 4 weeks ive lost 11.5lbs and have great motivation for the first time in years :talk017:

Loving this site, getting soo much advice, tips, reading people's Diary entries for inspirtion so i thought i may aswell document my Journey..even if only for me its something to chart my progress.

Hoping to add my Daily Food Diary as i go..

First Day writing my Food Diary :D

And for a Change i'm trying out a Green Day


Monday 6th Febuary 2012

Breakfast :

2 Slice Wholemeal Bread 400g Loaf hexb1, 2 tsp Flora Extra Light 1 Syn, Scrambled Eggs, Beans & Cherry Toms. Glass Milk 250ml S/S hexa1.

Lunch :

Homemade Leek & Potato Soup, Homemade Cheesy Scones, Mixed Berry Fruit Salad.

Snack:

Tangerine, Mug Shot Tomato & Herb.

Dinner :

Meat Free Bolognase, Onion, Mushrooms, Garlic, green chilli, Micro Basmati Rice 3 Syns.

Snack :

2 Slice Wholemeal Bread 400g Loaf hexb2
45g Reduced Chedder hexa2

Total Syns for Today : 4 Syns

Well done on your loss so far, I'm Sarah and I've been going to class since October, of lost 11lbs up to Christmas then put 6 on over the holidays, but now I've lost 12 altogether so I've got the Xmas gain off, I want 5 stone off in total.
I've got a 3yr old boy called Callum too, he's my little angel but can be a monkey :) good luck with your weight loss.x

First of all..Thanks for having a read at my Diary, I felt that once i started writing it i could have went on..and on..:p

Well done on your Weight loss ;) it must be tricky trying to stay on track at xmas time on a healthy eating plan and good on you for turning your gain around to a loss :D i'm glad i started just into the New Year so didnt have that tempation around me.

I havent set a definate target for my weight loss, as starting at 23st 10lbs it would seem like a Mountain to climb just taking it a Stone at a time, but got my Club 10 Target for Easter so thats my first challenge.

My little Callum is 2..Must be something in the name as he is a Cheeky wee Monkey also :D

It took me a long time to get my head into the Zone with regards to determination but something gave and here i am..SW all the way :D

Well done on your weight loss and Good luck with future loss..this site is great to keep you motivated..certainly helping me :)

SW Cottage Pie, 95g Ex Lean Mince hexb2, Carrot, Onion, Garlic, Tin Toms, Potato, Fromage Frais, Mint Choc Sprinkles Mullerlight

Snack :

Glass Milk 250ml ss hexa1, Cheese 45g Reduced Chedder hexa2, Chicken Mugshot

Well thats me 6 Weeks into Plan and Everything is Going Great. Had my Weigh-in Last Night and Lost 1lb :) Was a little disapointed..then i thought to myself...I havent had a Gain, STS in the 6 weeks so thats a good achievement..so why beat myself up over a 1lb loss..ITS A LOSS :D

Had a look back at my meals over last week and i made a concious decision to use more Syns last week as i usually dont use my Daily quota, but i felt like i was doing something wrong :eek: stupid i know they are in plan to be used.

But at my group the syn quota most people use is 10 Syns and i was using 15 or slight above, so without using that as an excuse for my ONLY 1lb Loss it made sense why that was my loss.

So this week i will be doing a lot more Green Days and getting Loads more Superfree into my meals. As for my 12 Week to Club 10 Challenge i think i'm just slightly behind..ive lost 1st 1.5lb in 6 weeks, that leaves 1st 3.5lbs to lose in the next 6 weeks ;)

Can it be done?????? BRING IT ON :D
