The EE plan is really suited to me as some of my favourite foods are things like rice, noodles, pasta, potatoes, steaks, eggs...Still can't believe I can actually eat all this stuff and lose weight!! Seen it in action with a few friends, so I know it's possible
I don't have any of the books yet, but I will venture forth to purchase some next payday. I've been referring to the 3 lists religiously and I am actually quite a skilled cook, but I guess it's about learning the plan and being a bit creative with what you're allowed. I recently bought some reduced fat cheddar and, apart from the fact it makes lousy cheese on toast (!) it's actually really rather good. Amazing that I can have this as my Hex A or B!
I think I will miss butter. I know I can syn it, but I'm trying to keep my syns down a wee bit. Been aiming for about 8 - 10 a day. Is there a low-syn alternative? I like to melt some butter over pasta before serving it...yum!
Also I'm a fan of bread, so I've been reading the Hex lists to see what kind of bread I'm allowed. Thankfully I like brown bread, so that's a good start
