Puddings Sweet couscous

I will be a Princess!
Hi all,

I was hoping that somebody could suggest a sweet recipe for couscous (that doesn't involve turning it into a cake!!)

I've never cooked couscous before, but I'd lake to make a puddingy sort of dish with it if possible rather than a savoury dish.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)

I think you can use cous cous as an alternative to porridge in the "magic" porridge recipe - useful if you are on EE and want to save your HEB.

The other sweet recipes I've seen tend to be middle eastern and have lots of dried fruit and honey in them which would be difficult to replicate on SW.

Ohh I like Magic Porridge, but I have never been a big fan of cous cous. Does it taste similar to the porridge virgin?

I used to use my milk allowance and sweeten it with splenda, warm through and add cous cous and almond extract. Really good with a wee drop low sugar jam for a low syn stodgy filler!

is it similar to rice pudding then frugal fifer?
more like a semolina, it was a lifesaver for me sometimes.

Sian - I just used the warm sweetened milk to soak the cous cous, keeping it on a low heat and stirring now and again.

This sounds nice, could people post recipes?
For the cordial one the milk one?
Both sounds yummy
