Sweetener question..

Hi, so i've been using these Silver Spoon sweetness & light tablet sweetners in my tea every day (I prefer hermesetas but this was all they had in my local shop), and I haven't been counting the carbs because according to the website each tablet contains 0.04g carbs...so if I have 6 mugs of tea a day, 2 sweetners in each mug, i'm still way under 1g carb a day for all of them. I'm not on Atkins but from a low carb perspective is this right?

I've just found out they're aspartame not saccharin so not very happy about that! Hermesatas apparently contain 0g, so how come splenda counts as 1g per packet?

I think it's the bulkers in the Splenda that make the carbs. The idea is that you substitute the same amount of Splenda for sugar but as Splenda is much sweeter, you actually require less of it. Enter- Carbs to make up the rest.
