Normally they are expensive but have been on offer a couple of times recently at £2 a pot. Nice for when you are in a hurry or to eat at work. They take 4 mins in the microwave and have no additives or rubbish in them.

Does anyone know how many syns are in the frozen weight watchers meals? Like the cottage pie, chicken/beef casserole etc? I used to find these a god send some days, I would just do them along with a huge stack of veg. Any idea for syns though?

Just discovered a lot of the tesco simply heat range is free or low syn. Had the gammon shanks with sweet muscavado sauce tonight! Yum!

Good spot! Just checked on syns online and there's a pork in bbq sauce that's also free, will have to try that!!

Great thread - really useful!! Can anybody help me with the syn value for the uncle ben curry and chillis, the small ones that come in two microwavable pots? Also bachelor flavoured rices (or other brands) are they all free? I had the chinese flovur one yesterday.....very yummy!

Does anyone know the syn values of Morrison's m kitchen tex mex chilli con carne? The rice is plain, the sauce is tomato based and the list of ingredients sounded free bar some added sugar but the syn valuer said 11.5! Problem was, I had to pick free food as either meat or rice but it had both.

One of my favourite ready meals is Tesco Finest Ham Hock and Leek Potato Gratin. The whole pack is 5.5 syns, well worth it cos it's so cheesy with big lumps of ham in it. At £3.60 I wouldn't have it every day but it's still loads cheaper than the odd takeaway I would have had in the past!
