Team 14 - Scream if you wanna go faster! - Official Thread

Wow Anna that is AMAZING for week 2 :) you are doing SO well!!! :D :D

We have gotta win the challenge this week!!

I've been feeling very tired and rather peckish recently but trying to stay focussed. Have just realised I think I'm supposed to be on 810 but am waiting for a CDC to answer me on the main forum to make sure.

Have decided whatever happens to do 810 next week as I want to work up the plans slowly (a couple of weeks on each one) as I'll stil lose plenty on the lower plans but need to get going on the steps otherwise I'll have to suddenly switch to WW in December and put on the water/glycogen weight, which I don't want to do!

Hi Wannabeslin - I am not sure that you can do ANYTHING slow by the looks of things :) but you must be nearly there now.
Well done to you too Anna - that is fabulous this week again.
Claire, did you get the emails I sent - never done that before, and got a strange message - let me know and I will send again.
Nelli

Hi Nelli - Yes have got emails and replied. Will send you form tomorrow.

Hehe Nelli I know its mad isn't it... especially after I have being trying to shift this weight for months and months... and now its all gone in just one week - almost too good to be true!

Have spoken with my CDC tonight and have started a sort of SS+/810 plan for the rest of this week (the milk of the SS+ 4packs with milk plan, and the food of the SS+ with 200cal meal plan.) So not quite 810 and a bit more than SS+. Then next week will be 810. I feel better for it already!

But don't you worry I will be here til December at the very least! xxx

Sounds great Wannabeslim - you are where we are all hoping to be really soon (though at my current rate, I am not sure how long it's going to take me). I weighed myself this morning in the hope that another half stone had dropped off (only kidding - well not totally - we can hope :) but I am still only two pounds down on a week past Tuesday.
It's weird - I cut down to 3 packs this time (had four when I did LL last year) but I have still lost exactly the same amount of weight in the same amount of time. With LL, I had a bar each day as one of the four. This time I did start off doing that for the first week, but then cut it out and only have as an emergency measure. weird.

It is great to see someone shifting it like you are doing - just shows it can be done and you are certainly going to be one skinny bride !!

Hi All

I'm still poorly at the mo, so couldn't go to WI tonight. Went to the Docs again too and can't drive etc. Sorry girls, this labrinthitis sucks big time.

Well done to everyone else tho, you are all doing amazingly

From a poorly MR2_Owner xx

Oh noo MR2 that's pants... so sorry to hear you're still suffering with this. Being unable to drive must be a nightmare!! I hope you're ok :( don't worry bout your WI, that's got to be the least of your worries at the moment! Get well soon!

Hehe Nelli, there's nothing wrong with hoping for a big loss as long as it doesn't disappoint you when it doesn't happen :D hehe. Give it time though hun, that weight WILL come off, it HAS to (theres no way if you're sticking to this that the fat will stay on!!), even if its not showing on the scales... so don't let them get you down. You know you're being good and that's all you can do!

Have really struggled tonight - had fish for my 810 meal and it was rank!! I couldn't eat it all and have only just about managed to convince myself I could keep down a pack as have felt sick ever since the fish. Have now had a porridge but am still 1 short of my 3 a day and don't think I can manage anymore. I know it's not ideal but I would rather keep down what I've had than try to have more and be ill, and lose all the nutrients I've already consumed (sorry if TMI). Will try and do better tomorrow.

xx

Morning all - hope you are all ready for a good weekend. The sun is actually shining in Glasgow so I guess I should be running around getting ready to go into town before it disappears.

Wannabeslim - I really need to stay OFF the scales - I used to be so good but right now it's every morning. Yesterday it looked like last weeks two pounds were back ?????? How can that possibly be, other than fluid - or as my husband suggested, maybe wonky old scales. I should buy new ones I guess. Luckily this morning they have gone again (the pounds, not the scales :)) but I am still no further down - and I truly am being good.

The aim from now on is to stay off the scales and hopefully things will start to move quicker. My job is not terribly active - but I start yoga on Monday and need to get out walking - or cycling if it stays dry.

Good luck for the coming week for everyone else. Anna, you are doing brill and MR2_owner, I hope you are feeling a bit better.

Nelli

PS My hubby is cooking heavens knows what downstairs right now, and I just might KILL him :)

Aww Nelli. I can only offer you a couple of pieces of advice, and I have actually been following it myself the last few days which has made things much easier.

Advice #1: Step AWAY from the scales. Only go with what your CDC's scales say otherwise you will never TRULY have one reading to go by. My scales are innacurate, my mum and dads (where I am now) say I weigh 6lbs more than my CDCs said I did on Monday.... it doesn't help our mentality to be stepping on and off different scales every day... and you're right it may well be due to wobbly scales (mine at home are wobbly too), so actually you are getting anxious and down for no reason. So chuck'em away, go see your CDC and forget about your weight in between WIs. It really makes life easier!!

Advice #2: Make sure you are drinking all your water and follow the diet to the letter. If you are doing it 100% then there can be no doubt that you are LOSING 3LB OF FAT PER WEEK... AT LEAST. So there! Even if it doesnt show on the scales, this is biological fact, and unless you have a medical condition to prevent this from happening, YOU WILL LOST 3LB OF FAT whether or not the scales say so. That's why you need to try to start 'ignoring' what they say and go with your body and inchloss instead.

I hope this encourages you hun, as I say I have been ignoring the scales this week and instead gone through my wardrobe and tried on clothes to see how I'm doing... I know I am doing well because I am now in the smallest clothes I own, and will soon be a 12 - THAT is what is important to me, NOT whether or not I am in the 11's or 12 stones!!

Stay cheerful hun! Am away at M&Ds at the mo so this is just a flying message then I will post when I get home tomorrow pm. But couldnt leave you feeling so low.

Lots of love WBS xxxxx

You are so nice taking the time to message Wannabeslim - and what's more YOU ARE RIGHT! I walked round town today and could feel the jeans I only got back into a few weeks ago slipping around my bum ! So I know that is what I need to focus on.

Hope you have a good weekend with your parents.

Nelli

PS I have to admit I cut down on water this week. I was working onsite with a group of people and knew I was a distance from the nearest loo - but back to "normal" whatever the heck that is these days now :)

You're welcome chick - SEE you are losing, your jeans say so!!! Hehe :D

I'm back at my flat now and just thinking about my weekend. My mum was great with cooking 810 meals for me and she kept apologising at lunch today as she and my bro had full roasts with roastie tatties and parsnips etc, whilst I had plain chicken with spinch and cauliflower... yummm :(. But it was nice to eat with them and actually I forgot to have my 3rd pack yesterday as I would normally have it at tea-time but due to now eating, I keep forgetting, and as I don't feel hungry it's easily done.

My 'skinny me' jeans (a small 14) are now saggy around my legs and bum, and my mum was amazed at how my figure has changed. I don't feel like I've lost much this week but my jeans don't lie!! Unless maybe they've got looser as I've worn them more...

I tried on a whole load of clothes at my parents' house that I havent worn since I was 17, and they ALL fit nicely :) perfectly in fact, which I am VERY chuffed about as looking back at pix of me at 17 I had a nice lil figure. Not slim, not chubby, just right. Admittedly now my weight is spread differently and I need to work on my arms and belly which are flabby cos of my weight gain then loss, BUT I need to get my head to catch up with my body. I still see myself as a 16st 'fattie' (as my brothers called me as a child even tho i wasnt!) but I am actually now an 11something fairly averagely-normal looking person. Ok, so I'm not slim, but I'm getting there and am now fit and healthy enough to do whatever I want, slim enough to buy what I want, and focussed enough to get even slimmer.

Why am I writing all this? Well, I dunno but I felt the need to get it down on 'paper' as this weekend has really led to a change in my thinking and I don't want to lose it!

I am now getting to the point where I am starting to develop a bit of a phobia of eating, and I know its not healthy. So, next week I am doing 1000 plan for a week and then switching to WW. So I shall be posting a loss here (hopefully) for the next 2 WIs and then I am afraid I shall be switching diets.

:) thanks for reading! (and if you haven't read the whole thing I don't blame you as it's mostly a load of old tosh anyway!)

Wbs xxx

Hi Wannabeslim - It makes perfect sense. It's great that you have managed to do it all so quickly (at least the last part) - and there really is nothing like trying on clothes to make you feel good, is there? I am so looking forward to eating something, but don't want to do the plan where you can eat a bit as I need to get this diet finished and this time I need to keep the weight off because I really cannot see me ever managing to ss a third time.

Did I say before that I am looking at GI diet books just now, and also considered switching to WW after Christmas. If I can hit the 17lbs shown on my ticker on the head, I have a bit more to lose, so I am considering maybe doing that in another way.
Nelli

No you didnt say! Glad it makes sense to you :) the more I think about it the more I feel I should be switching ASAP, I just dont want to put anything back on when I switch across :( xx

I know how scared feels - I lost masses last year with LL and put lots of it on again - 6l lbs lots.
I was so focused too - but my head was really messed up. Meeting someone who had been controlling their weight for a long time by putting on a stone and then using CD to lose it didn't help - cause I thought I could do it too. Well now I know better

Where is everyone, Claire will kill us for losing them when she gets back !:D!

Nelli

Hehe well I'm afraid it's not losing them you should be worrying about! lol! Have restarted on WW today and CDC cancelled my WI so can't post an official weight for the week... tho the WW scales said 11.13 (but that would actually mean I have gained in the last week, which may have been water/glycogen going back on today as a result of switching, but physically I cannot have gained fat!!).

So I'm afraid I moved across a little earlier than planned but it was a necessary move and I do feel it was the right decision! Hope you guys can forgive me and find another member easily enough.

xxxxx

Well done you - we will miss you - you have to look in and let us know how you are doing. As to the weight in - unless the others resurface - its going to be just ME !
