Team 14 - Scream if you wanna go faster! - Official Thread

I know a few people that if they have a bar (full one) they struggle with there weight loss's also. Maybe you should just have the shacks or soups and see if it is any different . Also try and speak to you CDC she/he may have some suggestions on the whole thing.

Claire - when I did LL I had three packs and a whole bar every day. When I returned to do CD I had the same for the first couple of weeks and then reduced to just three packs per day.
I kept a spreadsheet both times and ran a comparison and the weightloss was pretty similar as you can see from the chart below. Albeit the weeks losses were often slightly different, but it kept coming back to more or less the same figure.

In fact towards the end when I was having the difficulty shifting pounds, the results are lower than with more portions on LL. I don't think this is anything to do with the pack contents - but down to my body adjusting.

So far so good today - and I am hoping that the break with kick start my metabolism and I'll be able to deal with the remainder easily enough :wave_cry:

Blast, that was supposed to appear as a spreadsheet - not as something it is difficult to read - too the jumble back out and I'll try again.

Not coming out properly at all - anyone got an idea of what I need to do to display a bit of a spreadsheet, so that it appears as a table and not with all the figures run together?

hi claie,

My friend who is on CD has been struggling to lose and she has a bar a day last week she removed the bar and had her shakes n soups instead and she loss 6 pounds. Ask your CDC to see what she thinks about it all.I hear the bars have more cals and but more carbs though.

Well my weigh in result is 0!!! Not happy. CDC concerned too. Have agreed to stick to SS+ this week with only 1/2 bar a day to see if that shifts it.

If that doesn't work she wants me to go to 1000 cals for one week maybe 2 then drop down again. I told her I was going to docs about my fingers (think I have reynauds syndrome) and she suggested I mention this weight stalling as well.

Have posted a main thread about it to see if anyone else has ever done 2 weeks with no loss!

Oh Claire - what a shame - it's awful isn't it when nothing comes off.

I forgot to say, but I am having to eat until Saturday night as I have medication to take which finishes then and I am finding it even harder to do this (eat something just for the tablets) than to SS. It's a case of, if I eat one thing, might as well eat another - or have some wine - and anyway I'll be ss'ing on Sunday. My virus was harder to kick than I thought - one good thing is that it is making me thirsty so I am glugging for Britain.

We will all get there - promise. Incidentally, did I mention I bought YELLOW jeans in the US (among other things - quite a few other things considering my shopping trips were cut a bit short due to said virus). Anyway I certainly don't need a "lard a***" right now :)

hey guys,

Hope your all well. Just had some sad news in regards to my dad. His got to have a bag for rest of his life and his taken it really badly. I don't know what to do to help him through it but I guess the main thing is they have removed the tumour and that his alive but he don't see it like that at all. It's so difficult and I am struggling to hold it together.

I really hope you lose this week Claire When you stay the same regardless of your efforts it makes you think why do i bother but don't give up you really can do it hun you just got to keep the faith and not let it get the better of you. Big hugs.

Thanks ladies. Having waited in all morning for the gasman who then didn't turn up I'm struggling with my temper!

Hypa - Oh I really feel for you. When my Dad was ill it was such a struggle and so stressful. My advice is don't try to deal with it all at once - just bit by bit. Try to concentrate on the positive - the tumour is gone. That's wonderful! He will adapt to the bag - but he has to mourn first. It's a big change for him so no wonder he's upset...and you too. Bless you both. xxx

Nelli - yellow? Are you crazy? LOL! Bet they look fab.

Hi Anna
My Aunt had the same thing many years ago - as did an older cousin. Both reacted badly and adapted well. My cousin had discussions about reversing the op but he had to lose weight before they would do it - unfortunately that has never happened. It has been a lot of years for him too.

It must be really hard for you but you are a strong lady, so you will get through it and manage to say the right things with the help of your OH.

Evening team!

Hypa, I'm so sorry to hear you and your family are going through a difficult time. A friend of mine had to have a bag when she got cancer at age 12, and she has gone on to live a happy life, which we are all grateful for. At the time she was extremely upset but now feels it is totally worth it to be alive!

I hope in time your dad will feel the same, my thoughts and prayers are with you and him, and all your family!

Not much else to say really - its nearly the end of week 3 for me and am hoping to have a good official WI on Monday, maybe even get to the magical BMI 25!

xxx

morning everyone,

Hope we are all having a good week so far. I know that I am. I am loving having a car but why do they cost so much to run lol. Went see dad yesterday he is still in a bit of pain and depressed over fact he has got a bag. But i told him to think on positives that his alive and that he'll get see me graduate and get married now:). Is it me or is it really cold today. That wind last night was extremely powerful. Hope we are all having a good weekend and sticking to CD. I love being in control and losing weight.

Hi All
It's been snowing in Glasgow - so it must be cold out. I haven't been over the doorstep - my nose has been in a book almost since I opened my eyes this morning - except for a short break for the Sunday papers. Got all the housework done yesterday - so I don't feel guilty :) BTW the snow isn't lying by the looks of things.

I am now getting serious with my ssing (no excuse left). Hopefully I may have a pound or two to report by Tuesday - though based on recent history, I'll be lucky.

Hope your Dad is a bit better today.
Nelli
