Thai is my downfall as i dont go very often and end up eating my favourite - thai red curry.
Recommendation to start would be stay away from the sharing platters, its all pastry and very little filling. I would go for a hot and sour soup to start or a thai salad (depends if the place you are going has thai salad as a starter). Or maybe the fish cake as a lower syn (but not that low).

Main course - i cant really help as i know i would just go for the thai red which is so naughty. I always have the boiled rice tho.
If you want to be good go for a fish dish in a non coconut / not peanut sauce (ideally with no sauce) or go for a thai salad as your main.
