This is my first time on a forum like this and it's really nice to see the encouragement and support all you guys all provide to each other.
I guess you could say my weight loss journey started in 2006. I have always been overweight and I reached my peak when I was 15/16 and weighed 18 1/2 stone. After the unfortunate passing of my sister at that time I decided to take action and control over my weight.
Unfortunately the start of my weight loss journey was not a healthy one. I found my self falling into the trap that many young girls do of barely eating. One meal a day and an hours walk became the norm for a long time and by the time I turned 19 I was 12 1/2 stone.
I had lost weight, yes, but my approach to a healthier life style couldn't have been worse. I was constantly drained, I looked terrible and people around me were constantly telling me to eat.
That year I met my partner, and as time passed, I began to eat more. Mainly chocolate and sugary things! (My vice) and by the beginning of this year I weighed 13st 4lb.
Three weeks ago I decided to take some action to finally get to a healthy weight in the right way and joined SW. My goal is to be between 9 1/2 & 10 stone, which will be healthy for my height at 5, 6"
I have to say that I've never enjoyed food as much as I have these past weeks and to date I've lost 8lb, although tonights my weekly weigh-in so it should hopefully be more now.
This time I want to make sure I do things properly and treat my body well!
