The journey to a new me!

I know all about wanting warm food when its cold! It's nearly half way through June and its still cold here...FFS!! All I want is warm food, that's why I have chicken and veg in my CD soup at night so that it's something warm to eat. Cant even begin to think of salads at this stage! Dont be too hard on yourself. You have to do what's best for you financially and it doesnt mean that if you stop CWP that you wont lose weight. Healthy and moderate eating will keep you on track! Hope you wont leave Sunflowerlady and me once you stop the shakes??

My kitchen and house is back to normal. I feel human again. I'm w woose...I know...lol! Cooked proper dinner for the fam last night and they loved it. Shame...2 weeks on ready meals was too much for them...lol.

Hope you have a good evening! x

Helloooo PT (and Sunflower - when you get to catch up).... I'm a woose too. Last night I worked late so took the kids to the Spur (Kids eat Free on Wednesdays) and I had a glass of red wine to warm me up and chicken schnitzel and veggies for dinner. I've officially lost the plot.

I've ordered my last month supply of CD products - and plan on weaning myself off the products by having a shake for breakfast, and slowly start introducing a meal at lunch time of salad or soup and then my "normal" dinner of chicken and salad/veggies. I'm trying hard to keep my water intake up and will look to follow the SW diet. I mean the reality is that at some stage we all need to get back to normal eating habits, and yes, the challenge is to ensure its healthier options, smaller size portions and less fat/sugar. I mean that part is duh..... but putting into practice is more difficult. I'm a comfort eater, and being cold and dark here when I get home - the evenings seem to draaaaaagggg on forever - hence the nibbling! However, last night as I had a decent meal at the spur, I didnt nibble at all.

I'm glad your kitchen (and life) is back up and running! I bet it feels nice to have a fridge and stove again! Again, I'm really proud of you for having stuck to this for so long - you will reap the rewards from your efforts.

I'm scared to WI tomorrow. As usual. LOL. At least my clothing is still feeling "normal" on me and not too tight - but I am feeling rather "muffin top"ish!!! I find it hard to eat salads in winter - dont know how you manage months and months of the cold and dark. I think I'd die.

Really looking forward to a night out this Saturday. I plan on throwing all caution out the window. Letting my hair down. Giving it full stick! hahahaha

I think tonight will be a salad for dinner (just coz the kids are having leftovers, and there's not enough for all 3 of us!)

Really looking forward to Sunflowers return! Want to know how the diet is going!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????/:rolleyes:

I'll be right there with you going back to normal eating/socialising and society just as soon as I lose the last 2 stone! You are just as much an inspiration to me! You lost a lot of weight...25kg is a massive of amount to have shifted! The Spur chicken schnitzel is to drool for! Though...the cheddamelt one is a bit nicer.....lol:p

Hope your WI is good tomorrow and if not, then so be it! It's not really months and months of cold and dark. I live in the South East of the country and we have much better weather than up North. I love the months where it gets dark early! I love to snuggle up on the sofa with a soft blanket, my hubby and just watch tele! The summer months here are so, so beautiful! I love it here (even though I moan about the weather....lol!):)

Your head sounds in the right place to start the healthy eating plan. Think if I remember right from one of Sunflower's last posts is that she too will be doing the healthy eating option soon. You are right, we all have to at one point or another get back to normal again. I am looking forward to 'normal' life after CWP. Hopefully the next 2 stone won't take more than a stone a month and I can then start the maintenance programme and thereafter I will join my local SW club to just keep me on track.

Your weekend plans sound awesome! Have fun and dont even think of the word diet! Just enjoy yourself! x

Have just seen your stats on your profile and your BMI is so close to a Healthy BMI in anycase. With healthy/moderate eating you should reach that healthy BMI in no time:)! Can't wait for my BMI to reach that stage! xx

Thanks Sunflowelady! Dont know about the weather where you are today but gosh it is humid in the SE today! Feels like Durban in Feb! I dont mind the heat but I'm not a big fan of humidity:tongue:! So glad I brought a choc mint shake with me and not a soup...lol. Are you still on CWP or have you moved over to healthy eating? Jillybeans....where are you??

Hope you both have a great day! x

Just checking in but I've completely lost my way on the diet!!! All I've done is eat and drink this past long weekend!!! Lost the will to diet.

CONGRATS on your loss and OMG to nearly in the 70's! yes, LOL - was last there in my 20's! But well done you have earned it!!

Sunflower? Hows the diet going for you? I need a kick in the butt! Are you willing to kick me into shape again?

Hows the new home? And the new kitchen???

Hen do was such fun! I ate alot and drank alot and generally let my hair down.... and never put it up again the rest of the weekend!

Hello Jillybeans!! Glad you had a great weekend!! Sometimes letting your hair down is just what the doc ordered! We have friends over for dinner on Saturday night and the Dh of my friend does not eat any fruit or veg! Nothing, nada, zero!! Basically he only eats meat, rice, pasta and some potatoes (only if they are chips)! And my friend is allergic to mushrooms and peppers so catering for them is a bit difficult. Was going to do a BBQ but the forecast shows rain for Sat so its looking likely that we will have to get take aways:sigh:. I'll have my SS+ chicken and salad so will stay on plan.

Kitchen is lovely! Worth the money and we are so happy with it! Though that being said, the units are a lot higher than my previous ones and I had to go buy some steps to reach the top shelves....don't laugh....occupational hazzard for being so short....lol :)

I am getting so excited for my holiday! Less than two weeks to go. Have chatted to my consultant about what I will do CD wise whilst away. I have decided to take a shake for breakfast, have a bit of fruit for breakfast whilst my hubby has breakfast in the mornings at the hotel (just so I dont sit there with nothing whist he has breakfast). For lunch I will have a lemon yoghurt bar and dinner time I will eat either chicken/fish/steak and veggies. She said that seeing that I am not having my third pack that I should try and have a small amount of carbs if I eat chicken or fish, but no carbs if I eat red meat (as red meat contains it's own carbs...who knew...lol). I'l drink my water and try and walk/swim as much as possible. Hopefully that way I will keep the gain to a minimal, fingers crossed.

I'm going shopping on Sunday to get some new bra's and clothes for my holiday. Dont know wheter I'm looking forward to it or not....lol. Hubby is wanting me to get a bikini to take with. I'm not sure if the man has lost all of his marbles....lol!! I barely feel comfortable in the purple polka dot full costume I got nevermind a bikini!?!

How's everyone doing today? The thread is so quiet....? Hope you are both well? x

LOL @ the bikini! Yeah, I dont think I'd ever go there again!

Who'd have thought red meat has carbs????? I agree tho, although eating a bar for lunch is going to be hard! What about fruit and yoghurt? or a salad?

I've gone a bit wonky on this diet - although I did make myself a HUGE salad for dinner last night (with some pork roast meat...LOL....!) but I've just gone AWOL. I'm checking up on you tho!

LOL to the kitchen cubboards! I dont have that problem....

I"M flippen starving! Cottage pie for dinner(and without the mash for me).... carbs! Pha!

Hmmm...Cottage pie! Good 'ole wholesome winter food!! You know mashed celeriac as a substitute for the mashed potatoe works a treat and is very healthy as well!

I have seen another thread on here where on lady switched from CWP to SW and she said she did the red days for the first week and lost 9lb and she is still having steady losses. Puts a lot into perspective for me as that is exactly what I'll be doing at the end of August - moving over to SW:). Do you get Slimming World in SA?

Had a mango shake for lunch and went outside to have it. Weather is fantastic today and being stuck in an office sucks!! How is your DD doing now Jillybeans? x

O yes, I have joined another thread on here in the CD Teams section called Firesharks. I feel a bit weird....ok, weirder than normal....lol:p....posting alone on Sunflowers dairy, so if you are looking for me I'll be on there. I'll check in here from time to time though;) xx

Sorry!

Been finding it super hard sticking to plan. Went to see consultant last night and she suggested going onto step 3 for a few weeks to see if that put me back on track. Will see how that goes. Step three lets you have fruit! Excited!

Went to asda on Monday about tried on some clothes. I fit (rather snugly) into a size 16 trousers!!!! That made me really excited!

Also, when tidying up some things I found a card from when in SA I was on the pill... Very old fashioned with the card you had to take with each time you got your next supply. It says I weighed 84kg is 1999 and by 2001 I was 95kg. I am 95 now so I weigh the same as I did 12 years ago!!! Gosh!!!
