Sounds like you're doing really well indianprincess! I found continually sipping water helped with the headache in that first week, and I haven't had one since.. hope it's similar for you!

Indianprincess, my thoughts and prayers are with you your and family for Friday. Good for you starting CD this week, it'll be tough but in the long run it'll be worth it. And as you can already tell it does get easier, more energy and less hunger definitely.

How's everyone getting on? I get weighed on Friday, think I'm already down about three pound, which is good as my losses seem to be slowing down now. As long as I can lose about 3lb a week I'll be trilled, although I have a wedding on Saturday that I will be eating and drinking at and I won't be feeling guilty. I've been looking forward to it for so long, I've got a fab new dress (which at a size 14 is slightly too big :) ) and fab new shoes and I will be gorgeous lol. So that means my WI next week will be a bad one but I'm not even too bothered, I wanna enjoy this wedding as I've been feeling a bit down lately. I need something to look forward to.

Well done Downsey. I get weighed tomorrow too and am looking like I'm around 3lb down this week so far too :)
Hopefully next week will be my last week of SS and then I can move up to SS+ and lose the last 10lbs or so working up the plans so I'm getting excited about the prospect of being able to lead a normal life again soon and socialise! Ive kept myself locked away to avoid temptation ad turned down so many nights out and BBQs it's killing me!!! I decided to go full force at this diet and get it over and done with quickly. I feel really proud and shocked that I've not eaten for a months, feels wierd, never thought I'd manage it, it's suprising how quickly you get used to it! I'm all or nothing, and I know if I allow myself a treat I'll fall off the wagon so my treat can be when I've achieved my goal.

I've had my weigh in and lost 3.3lbs this week which has taken me back into the 10 stones so I'm a happy bunny! It's amazing how dropping down to the next 'stones' can make you feel so much better isn't it! This is my last week on SS if I lose 3 pounds or more this week, so fingers crossed.

I went round to a friends who hasn't seen me for a couple of weeks this morning and she really noticed my loss and was all excited for me which was a nice boost.

Congrat MPNM!!!! You're an inspiration! Can't wait to be saying things like that! It's a way off, and at the mo, doesn't yet sound likely.. but then again, in my head, I can't believe that I'm under 16 stone so.. !!

Thanks Enough. You are more of an inspiration than me though, you've lost a lot more weight than me and persevered with CD for a lot longer than me so give yourself a pat on the back!! I have a lot less weight to lose so of course am going to get back into the 10 stones more quickly. I admire you for being strong and being able to stick to CD for so long, I've only done 4 weeks so far and it takes a lot of focus and determination so I think people who do this for months and months are a real inspiration to me and certainly make me think before I start complaining!
 
Hey girls, thank you so much for your kind words. Yesterday was a very hard day but Im feeling much better today though. Thankfully I have great friends and boyfriend so they took me to the cinema to watch Transformers.
Anyhoooo Im had my weigh in today...which is on day 6 and Im down....dunndunndahhhhh 8lbs wahooooo...Im over the moon as Im due TOTM too!!! How is everyone else doing today?

Hey can I join I have around 3 stone more to lose, get weighed at the drs on tuesday as I go once a month to get weighed because I am on xenical tablets to help with losing weight

been good all week very very good - ok there were 2 days when i felt unwell and didnt manage to have 3 packs and 1 day i couldnt bare it and just drank water and i only lost 3lb's guess i'm cheesed of as this has been a really hard week for me at work and at home and i didn't cheat at all - i know i'm also premenstral so this wont help but come on i've lost a lot of inches (and almost lost my trousers twice after a
belt malfunction) guess i'm just in a hurry and have a lot to lose !

Aaww... and if you're anything like me, everything feels worse when I'm premens too, so it's a double knock... :hug99:

here's a few thoughts for you..

-you're doing brilliantly over-all.. look at how much you've lost in such a short time, and trust in the programme.. your body needs to fluctuate and that shows that you're healthy and normal - which must be a good thing :)

-it's really important that you have all the daily packs each day because you're asking your body to make big adjustments at the moment.. you have to give it the nutrients in order to do that..

-the inches count! In fact, I'd say the inches are more important than the weight and it's a shame it's not the inches that we all use to communicate how well we're doing.. weight could be water, muscle etc.. sure it gives an indication, but it's not the part of this that I care about..


my knee's not hurting so much
I have more energy
I'm enjoying my body more
I'm liking myself more
I'm less burdened by worrying what other people think of me
I'm fitting into clothes I actually like
I'm not out of breath
I'm enjoying the compliments
I'm hopeful for my future
I'm having more fun, being more active, and loving my life again!

Trust in the programme, look at the long term.. most other diets would be looking at a couple of pounds a week max, so about 8 or 9 pounds a month.. on CD the average losses are a stone a month, and most of the people I know have found it's come off a little quicker than that...

its really worth it, and you CAN do it!! :)

-drink lots of water
-make sure you have all the packs you should have
-go for the occasional walk round the block
-come on here lots
-look at the before and after pictures to remind yourself how do-able this is..
-come to your Team for a group hug any time :) :gen126:
-notice that you're doing something wonderful, and be pleased with yourself for doing this - it's a great thing.. some people never manage to turn this corner.. you're doing it, and doing a great job!!!

Towergilly.....remember, you don't walk around with scales stuck to your butt....noone else has a clue what you weigh.....all they see is your size!! And if you've lost all these inches and your trousers are falling down then I'm sure people are noticing you 'shrinkage'!!!! It's all too easy to focus on the scales to determine our sucess but the most accurate way is the inches we lose and how our clothes fit! You could have a good week and lose 5lb but 3lb of that might be water so really you only lost 2lb of fat. This week you might have lost 3lb of pure fat and no water. Ignore the scales, they're not an accurate measure, and focus on those inches lost and the trousers that keep falling down!! I got weighed yesterday and lost a pound on my scales, yet today I've put haf back on!!! Now having only eaten my CD packs I know there is no way I've put weight on, so I'm ignoring it, it has to be water. I'm silly to get weighed and shouldn't but I can't help it, and know I have to ignore what they say!

I got measured at WI this week and have lost inches....3 off my hips which I'm glad about as I'm pair shaped, but only 1 off my thighs yet I lost 2 off my boobs which I wasn't happy about as I've had a boob job and invested a lot of money in my assets lol. Why can't it all just come off the places where we want it to?!!!! grrrr

Well done IP, 8lbs, wooo, get you!!! If youre TOTM too no doubt you'll be in for another big loss next week too!
 
eah i've decided to ignore those scales as i just got back on them and have lost 4kg since yesterday they're having a laugh!( couldn't see cdc yesterday because of work ) thank-you for your advice and encouragement :sign0168::sign0168::sign0168::sign0168:
 
I feel fed up today...and hungry for some reason. I've not really been hungry lately but for some reason today I am. My weight loss seems to be slowing down now (I'm naughty and cant help but get on my home scales every day). I like seeing the loss each day as it makes me feel good and keep motivated but for some reason I'm putting on...water I know, but not sure why as its not TOTM for me. Ive taken some sea kelp today so that might help. I guess because I only have another 10-12lbs to go this is going to be the tricky bit. I can lose 2lbs a week on a non-CD 1200 cals diet with exercise so I really hope that by starving myself I can keep my loss to at least 3lbs a week otherwise there is no point....I may as well just work up the plans so I can eat, and up my exercise. I really want to do more weights at the gym but Im not getting enough potein to warrant doing too much. I'm looking forward to eating lots of chicken and being able to tone up.

It's my turn for a little moan today I guess! Feel free to ignore me haha.

Hey gals......how are we all?
MissPiggy I know exactly how you feel hunny. Ive been starving this week....oh man, Ive been ratty and unbearable!! And I ummmmmm did something naughty.....I cheated...OH MAN!! I felt terrible over the weekend as you know and I just walked up to the fridge (which has a big fat picture of me at my heaviest) and ate! Anyhooo Im back on it but this week Ive felt so dizzy and hungry. I think its the weather plus the binge fest I had. Luckly I havent put any weight on but Ive decided that Im going to do the 810plan for a few weeks and then I should be fine. It will still give me great losses and there in noooo way in hell that Im EVA coming off cd cause I just fall off the wagon!
So lets see how it goes on Friday on weigh in. Anyhoooo let me know how your all getting on. And thank you so so much for your kind messages over the weekend, I did my best to be positive and glad that Ive cried and let it all out. Thanks again gals :grouphugg:
