Hi Emm,
I think I've seen you on the Cambridge forums, I did SS for 5 weeks, until I'd just had enough, and kept cheating.
The pros? Where do I start!! You eat the most yummy food, and loads of it, the weight comes off, not at the Cambridge rate, but I think 2-3lbs per week is about average.
For people not in ketosis you get a big loss the first two weeks, but if you switch from SS, you wont get the huge water/glycogen loss. You can eat out on it with ease.
The only cons for me is not having bread or sugar, but in all honesty I haven't missed these one bit.
When I have a sugar craving I have a coffee, with splenda, and a tablespoon of double cream, yum yum!
The only other thing is you do have to track how many carbs you eat, I keep a little food journal in my bag, and just fill it out as I go along.
I highly recommend getting the Atkins book before you decide to start, it's fantastic, lots of recipes and things too. Good Luck deciding
