Thinking of joining

I am planning to join a slimming world on a Wednesday night however am unable to afford this until next week.

Any tips before then on how to loose some weight before I start?
 
Think of how you cook your food. Don't use jars cook from fresh no oil use fry light. Swap your unhealthy snacks for fruit. Have at least a 3rd of your plate filled with veg / salad / fruit (you have to do this on extra easy).
 
...and remember that your first week's loss at group might not be as big as you may expect because you have already changed your eating habits so don't think it isn't working when you do join. Just a thought if you are making some changes to the way you eat.
 
This might be a bit controversial but...

I would wait to start until you are in a position to start. I think the point where you go to the first meeting, get weighed, and then start out on your new journey is a very significant one, and it gives you a great deal of focus to actually be there and go through that.

Also, I lost 2 1/2 stone before I decided to join, by myself, and I always regretted not having started SW at the very start - not that a 5 stone award is by any stretch of the imagination to be sniffed at, but it could have been a 7 1/2 stone award and a more complete journey.

This is just my opinion mind, if you are set on getting started now then great, loads of hints and tips on here.
 
I'm in exactly the same boat hun. So I decided to start the plan on my own for this week...I just did not want to carry on for another week feeling the way I did. At least I've started and I feel better for doing something about the way I feel. I'm sure I won't lose much on own anyway add I'll be making mistakes. Looking forward to getting started properly on Monday. I'm also investing in fitness gear this week with a focus on beginning a new exercise regime. Good luck hun, whatever you decide to do. X

I use oil all the time - only 1 syn for a tsp or you can use it as a HEX B - cooks spices better.
