Thinking of starting

Hi everyone. Looking for a bit of advise to work out if slimming world is for me.

I had a little boy nearly a year ago and have managed to get from 13 stone to 10st 7 but my bmi is still too high. I need to lose about another stone. I was following exante which is a very low calorie diet (600 per day) which puts your body into ketosis which I think is meant to force your body to burn fat for energy, anyway, I can't do it anymore, costs too much and I'm so bored of it. I have gone off the rails the last week and ate so much rubbish and I know if I keep going I will end up piling all the weight back on that I have lost. What I would like to know is if I start slimming world will I put on weight as I will be eating more calories than I was used to on exante and also, can someone give me a general idea of how the plan works. I had a look online but it wasn't too clear. Someone told me you get red and green days and that's about all I know. I'm not a great cook and don't have much time. I love pasta and could happily eat it every day. I have done weight watchers before and found that I end up with my cupboards and fridge full of weight watchers food which is all ready meals. I want to get away from having to buy diet food all the time but like I said don't have much time to prepare anything. Also do you get books that tell you what food is allowed etc? And if so, do you get these when you join or do you have to buy them on top of your subscription?

Thanks

Hey :) 600 calories a day  i couldnt survive of that lol! you may put a little bit on the first week but once you been doing it for few weeks it will adjust and should start coming off :) the plan is basically this you have 3 eating plans and you pick which one you want, which ever suits you, you can change it day by day or stick to one all week. There is EXTRA EASY which is where foods like pasta, rice, meat, veg, eggs are called "free food" where you dont have to weigh or measure these out you just eat them! RED days are for people who love their meat so meat, fish, eggs and veg are free but pot, rice and pasts isnt. GREEN days are opposite to RED these are for people who prefer pasta, rice, pot then meat so the meat/fish wouldnt be free. you have 2 other sections HEALTHY EXTRA A and HEALTHY EXTRA B. on extra easy days you choose ONE from each list and on green/red day you choose 2 B's and 1 or 2 from A. you also get 10-15 syns a day which can be used for anything you like, choco/crisps anything! hope makes sense lol! sounds to me like Green days would suit you then if you love pasta but if you love your meat then extra easy would work. you get all the book etc when you join up :) slimming world isnt really a diet its a long term lifestyle change i tried weight watchers did work but bored and too bloody expensive! xxx
