This is a miracle for me..

I was a heavy smoker for 35 years, but am VERY proud to say that I am in my 7 and a half weeks of being smoke free (had champix).
Its not all plain sailing, there are times when i could murder a ciggie, like right now, but i know that it would only take one ciggie to start me off again, so for me each day is a new day and i am only taking it one day at a time.
Well done all you people who have given up I know just how hard its been for you, but keep on going..you'll do it...;)

well done pepperpot, what an achievement, you should be very proud of yourself! I quit 2 months ago with allen carr.... going ok, most days I don't even think about it!
Well done! best advise is try to keep away from other smokers as much as possible. You might THINK you don't mind, but it's been my downfall every time. I've seen others puffing away and (usually at the 3-6 months mark) start puffing away again myself.
good luck
