Good evening, i started off with a very overactive thyroid which was great weight wise but the specialist at the hospital was worried about the risk of heart attack so put me on a high dose of medication to push it to under-active, while this was happening i gained about 5 stone in about 6 months, was put on propylyhiouracil to help keep it under-active as i am allergic to the carbimazole medication. I was getting to the point where my thyroid was balanced and the doctors decided to stop my medication and my thyroid went haywire again. Waiting to see the specialist on the 23rd of this month to see what is going to happen. I am pleased to say i have lost 4 stone of the weight i have gained and slowly trying to get back on track to loose the rest.

Good luck ladies xx

I have been underactive for 14 years now and am on a combination T3/T4
Previous to propoints i have tried every diet going to get rid of the 5 1/2stone I put on when my thyroid went up the spout. I have lost 2 stone now on propoints and hopefully will continue to lose albeit a bit more slowly than others. The trick for me is to stay away from bread. I will not lose a thing if I stay within my points but have bread. NO bread and I will lose up to 3 lbs per week but usually 1 1/2 lbs.
I recently had 12 weeks where I was off plan cause of holiday etc but now back on plan good luck

Needsmotivation.... Blimey poor old you ..!! Glad your on track tho ..!!
