Green Days Time has come!

    Well my story....I did green days very succesfully about 2 years ago and lost 2 stone and was very chuffed and then gradually put it all back on! I thought I was happy with my size 18 frame, that's what I told myself, God made me this way etc etc, diets don't work etc etc.
    But a few things have really shocked me into doing something about this bulk. One of the harshest ones was hearing my 5 year old sons friend ask my son why his mummy had such a big belly :(( Not good! Also, the dreaded facebook pics that crop up now and again...The size of my middle area and arms has really upset me and I must do something.
    Anyway, I live abroad so don't go to meetings but have all the bumf from here and also the on line group.

    So I have done 6 days of clean SW but last night had a blip when I had about 3/4 of a bottle of wine. Not good I know but to be honest a normal friday night would have been the bottle of wine, with a big bowl of nuts, followed by a huge dinner and then lots and lots of biscuits ! Throughout the week I did keep my syns to less than 15 and although I know you can't store up syns, I am hoping that i wont affect my losses.

    I chose Green days as although I eat meat, I do prefer a vegetarian diet, and I love rice, pasta and bulgur! My menu this week has consisted of Weetabix with skimmed milk and a banana for breakfast. Lunch has been leftovers so similar to dinners which are vegetarian rice with loads of superfree. Ive done SW chips and roasties as well some nights and made a frittata as well.

    I know how to eat on Green, and the best thing I have found this week is that my sweet tooth has abated. Before I was very much in the habit of having something savoury then HAVING to have something sweet! Not now and almost 1 week with no chocolate which is a weakness of mine.

    I love baking, and my test will be today as I normally bake a carrot cake and cupcakes on a Saturday and of course end up having several! NOt this week.

    Excersize- I play tennis once a week, I go to the gym one day a week and I walk for 3 other days, each time 45-60 mins.

    Sounds like you're all on plan for some good losses.
    Don't worry too much about the wine....I did exactly the same thing!! It happens!! I will just try and have a couple of syns less each day, over the next week to account for it.

    Great enthusiasm slimminglizard.
    Great to hear that you went back to SW as that seems to prove that this "diet" actually works.
    Hope to hear more of the enthusiasm from you.

    Welcome, you sound so determined! Come back and read this often to keep you on track.

    i also think it's ok to save some of your syns to have some wine on a Friday night.
